So, I collect sports cards, and I go onto this forum called Blowout cards forum. I'm getting bullied on there because of my beliefs, and because they think that I'm some dude named SUIC. Plz help. Ideas as to what to do needed.

Ignore them if you don't know them in person for them to be able to harm you physically.

They think you are the Silpakorn University International College?

What kind of discussions can you be getting into on a card collector forum? Which player was the all time best? Whether the Cubs could win a pennant, EVER, even if no one else were to show up?

I had to take a look at that forum and I'll say that to be banned in 82 posts suggest that something is not as it appears.
I have no suggestions for ya.

Good luck.

That is the reason I like it here.  No bullies.  I have a low toleration of them.

I sold and gave away my cards years ago.

I collect tools now.  But I need to thin out the number.  By van is sagging.

When I was a kid, a "bully" was someone who made you do something you didn't want to do.  Like, he'd take your lunch money, or push you around.  In today's new-speak, a bully is anyone who is mean to someone (I guess).  But, its fine to be mean to certain people, and you can make people do things they don't want to do all you want.

No bullies here?  Uh, ok.

There are lots of forums, no reason to stress over just one. Sometimes you just don't gel with the other participants and when it come to a difference of beliefs that there is nothing you can say that will change someones mind. So accept it and learn to move on. Dealing with conflict for nothing is a waste of your time and effort.

Bruce;
When I have a problem with someones response, I go back and re read what I wrote.  Most of the time it was the way I worded something.   :s

Just saying~~~   ;)

honestly bob never meant to intimidate you or anybody else for that matter. just trying to share life's experiences. highdesertranger

Welcome to the club...  I kept getting accused of being someone else on a different forum also.  Since they couldn't discredit anything I posted, they attempted to discredit me personally by accusing me of being someone else that they disliked for whatever reason.

The simple truth is that your existence on any forum or blog, is at the whim of whoever is running it, or moderating it.  Many places seem to take a dim view of any opposing opinions, some will even ban you for asking what someone deems a silly question.

The net's a big place, so it isn't too difficult to find a place you will be welcomed and receive the respect you deserve.

Good Luck!

Stop going there. Easy sauce. Or sometimes, it helps to take a break. Walk a way for a weak, avoid the temptation to look or continue posting. Just go outside and focus on other stuff for a while.

Pleased to see you guys are remorseful for always intimidating me.

(Puffs out chest and raises voice) You talking to me?   :dodgy:

Hearing a different opinion should only make a person think.  If they can.  Many places only have internet trolls on them that must "win" their argument at all cost.  Then they go upstairs so mommy can make them pop tarts.  :D

I have been corrected and have even changed my mind on here.

Yes, thank you everyone. I actually joined sportscardsforum.com literally three hours before you mentioned it, but I do thank you. As for my belief, I was just saying that I was christian, but appearances there must be some atheists or anti-Christians people who run the forum. Go figure. But, once again, thank you for helping me, and yes, I have not been on that forum in almost a week or so now. :)

Not exactly the topic they were expecting or ready to deal with, I  guess. Not really their thing. Too many conversations have started out civilly and turned into flame wars when religion got mixed in.

Religion , too many folks on both sides of that coin fail to know their own material and are so set on their way being the "only" way that they lose the ability to discuss something in a reasonable ,rational manner.

An individuals beliefs are their own private concern , they shouldn't be demeaned , that said it's unwise to go into an atheist forum and proselytise for a specific religious doctrine , it's likewise unwise for an atheist to go into a given religious forum and proselytise as regards atheism.

And in general it's the fanatical individuals at the far ends of the given spectrum of belief that tend to act like , well.....................fanatics.
