Hey All!
I've been reading these forums for a couple of months now as my wife and I have been considering trying this.  We are still early in the planning process and are looking at all of our options.  We are trying to do this to be able to travel for at least a year, possibly more if things go well!  If we can't continue to do this after a decent amount of time, we will still have a pretty cool camper.
We both have decent jobs and we are only a few months away from being debt free after working very hard to pay off student loans as fast as possible.  We will not be doing this until we are debt free, and have a decent nest egg and can afford to do this without having to work too much while travelling.  Whether or not this is the best way to do this, it is the only way we want to do this.
I have so many questions and this forum has been great about answering a lot of them.  I look forward to building my own home and learning the lifestyle.
I just wanted to say hello and thanks to everyone on here for all the information up to this point!

Welcome to the CRVL forums PapaMuns! You've made a great start by working to get debt free. It shouldn't take you long to build up your nest egg and get on the road. Please keep us updated!

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you.

Hello and welcome.  Congrats on becoming debt free!  It's an amazing feeling.

Welcome to the CRVL Forum,   :)

This will be a "Find" for you with the information contained in the discussions.

I think you are doing all the right things by getting away from student loan debt.
(what a racket that is....been there I know.  I actually had to "skip chase" after my own Banks
as my loan(s) were sold to other Banks with me being the last to know. This because I paid one payment
ahead and always paid my payments ahead of time)

I think your choice to travel while you are younger is a wise decision.  In the earlier 20th century when people couldn't travel to learn and see new ideas they would attend State Fairs.   Much wisdom can be harvested through travel and ideas which were unheard of in your original area can be discovered.  Once you begin to
travel you will understand what I'm explaining to you.

Remember, large companies rely on their Salespeople to go out and discover for them and come back and report.  Just like bees returning to their hive to report new sources to go harvest.  You may find opportunities
to roll into your own small business or use to supplement your skills so that you can increase your earnings.

Since you are researching now,  let me point you to the bottom link in my signature line.  The site contains resources and links to other sites that could benefit your quest,  while planning or even when on the road.

All the best in your travels !

Thanks everyone.  Feels good to be here.
We want to travel while we are young as we are thinking that some day we want to maybe have kids.  I would love for this to be able to turn into a working vacation and do it for a few years.

Welcome from AZ. I'm another noob, here to learn. Congrats on being debt free (shortly). That can be pretty liberating!
