Hey everyone,

First, I just want to thank everyone for their thoughts, ideas, insights, and inspiration for me to take the plunge!

I have recently purchased a van and started converting it! My plan is to finish the build by June of this year and move out west to California to full time.

Looking forward to using the forums to learn and gain knowledge as I progress with my build!

Welcome to the CRVL Forums   :)

Let me invite you to view my websites below.  One is about a simple conversion of a cargo Van into a camper with bed, kitchenette, and storage...so it would pass requirements (here in Ohio) to be a "house vehicle".
Certain things are required and your State's Dept of Motor vehicles can provide you with what is required.  This would be enough to get you on the road for a summer's travel out west.

The second site below is a portal of useful information that you can use while building your rig to plan your trip so you can see a lot of things and visit some interesting places,  find free campgrounds,  and navigate with the use of many free or low cost services to make your travels more comfortable and enjoyable.   You won't feel so alone or unsure of yourself with this resource.  You can use it from any WIFI hot spot while you travel too.

All the best in your travels !

Hi, Toshi,
Looks like you had some GREAT help on gutting your van. Your site looks very nice and you are very engaging in your videos. I have to say it get peeved when some van blogs just sort of go on and on with seemingly no planning of important points to communicate. You did a great editing job with insets and fast-motion sections. It was fun to watch and listen to without "wasted time."

Lots of room in that van! I like the grab handles at the back for a safe and fast entrance/exit. Looking forward to seeing the next steps.

Yeah I definitely had a lot of help with gutting the van. Thank you for such positive feedback! Hearing that definitely motivates me to make more as I am still learning about video editing and trying to figure out how to get better quality voice recordings.
