BEANS..BEANS..THE MUSICAL FRUIT
THE MORE YOU EAT..THE MORE YOU TOOT
THE MORE YOU TOOT THE BETTER YOU FEEL
SO LETS HAVE BEANS FOR EVERY MEAL ! ! !

I am thinking to my self that i cannot be the only one that eats so many beans...
My favorite is Bush's Pinto beans with chopped cilantro and a handful of shredded Cheddar spread on a tortilla toasted right on the burner carefully until it puffs a little...and a good sauce sprinkled before folding like 'zaaschila' habenero..extra hot.  Bush's variety of beans are my favorite..Smokehouse..Mesquite..etc.
I guess I am saying that I am running out of ideas for eating beans...
How many times do you eat beans a week?  For me it is every day!
What is your favorite bean dish?
I need ideas!

I like to mix black beans with rice, etc, for a Chipotle inspired burrito bowl. I make it with everything I would get if I were at Chipotle. It is just as good and a fraction of the cost. Don't forget good old fashioned beans and cornbread or calico beans. Both are easy if you have a crock pot and access to shore power.

And remember: Beans, beans, they're good for your heart
The more you eat, the more you...

I'm a fan of beans, rice, and sausage.
Bush's are good. I like them right from the can.

The dish you fix in the oven with taters, beans, sausage, and cheese is good stuff :)

I buy'em dry and cook in a pressure cooker......very cheap meal. I really like them with onions, peppers, tomatoes, cilantro. Also covered in salsa or brown gravy.

Any kind of beans , brown rice and.......................veggies , shrimp , eggs , burger , tuna , hot dogs , sausage , clams , chicken , crab , lobster , steak , pork , well , orrrr...... anything.
Wrap , pie crust , bowl , pan you cooked it in.

you guys are making me hungry. I love beans never met one I didn't like. highdesertranger

I like beans. I eat a helping about three or four times a week. Baked beans, red beans & rice, chili with beans, Three Bean Soup, Navy Beans, Great Northern Beans, Lima Beans....... and sometimes others. Sometimes a quick snack of a can of Beenie-Weenies. :)

HEY, am I the only one that eats ketchup? I have used save brand beans in the yellow can for quite some time, they are so cheap that there is nothing added to flavor them up, fried taters, cornbread iced tea, everything cept the cornbread is covered with ketchup. Sometimes if I`m not so hungry I just heat half the beans with most of the liquid add you know and devour with zesta crackers. I usually sprinkle on some chopped onion, mushrooms, not a cheese eater.
I cook almost everything that I eat in a coffee cup in the microwave and then the single item stuff gets eaten out of the same cup.

Warren-SKP #1605 and Spook the wander dog-white 10pound cooking in a 34foot dutchstar man I love this.

well I do eat ketchup on occasion(rarely), I have seen ketchup made. I do realize all processed food is like this but if you saw what I did you wouldn't eat so much ketchup. highdesertranger

A third-generation Montana cattle rancher told me the same thing about hot dogs after touring a factory. MT cattle ranchers have strong stomachs and he was no youngster -- still says he'll never eat another one.

There is a reason I do not tour any food factory.   :dodgy:

Canned refried beans smeared on a tortilla with salsa and cheese makes an easy meal.

All these great ideas are wonderful...Jay...I love Bush's beans right out of the can...especially when I am traveling and don't feel like cooking! This morning I am trying Whole Charro Beans from Dollar Tree and also their tortillas. They have chillies and onions and tomatoes added to pintos..yum yum! A hand full of cheese and chopped cilantro makes them perfect. Also bought re-fried black beans. Thanks everyone for your ideas...I LOVE BEANS! For a buck the Dollar Tree tortillas are great...right over the flame..turning every few seconds until they puff and get a tiny bit of char. A pack of tortillas and a can of Charro beans makes a 2 buck meal...WOO HOO!

Another bean lover here! Love red beans and brown rice but perhaps my favorite canned variety is Wolf Brand Chili with beans topped with cheese and a dollop of thickened* yogurt. There's so much you can do with beans! OTOH, I've never liked lentils. :p
* I buy regular low-fat plain yogurt and strain it using a sieve lined with a coffee filter. Much cheaper than 'Greek' yogurt.

Fellow bean lover here. The ones I really love and buy whenever I find them are anasazi beans.  You can order and have them shipped from the supplier, but the cost of shipping is more than the product itself. It's not worth going that route. I get lucky and find them in random markets from time to time and usually buy them out. They're worth it as they contain about 25% of the compound that makes you toot, meaning you'll toot a lot less when using these babies in your favorite recipes.

How do they taste? I have a bag of these that I have not gotten around to cooking yet. Black beans are my absolute favorite!
