I would like to ask everyone here if LifePo4 battery, like the Battle Born battery, will have the same effect if I use a new battery with an old one: the life of the new one will be shortened by the old one. As I understand, this will happen to an AGM battery or any lead-acid battery. I am just wondering if that will happen to the LifePo4 battery.

Where are you going to find an 'old' BattleBorn LiFePo4? They havent been in use for that many years.

If you have one that is only a couple of years old, it should still have lots of usable life left, unless it was abused in some way.

If you wire them in parallel, they will share the loads and charging current, but if you plan to line them up in series for 24v, I would contact BattleBorn and ask about that. They do respond to emails.

if you have a used battery that has degraded and not holding the same resting voltage, the higher volt battery will be constantly discharging down to the lower volt battery state. while with lifepo4 that may not affect the life of the battery it could effectively reduce the capacity
