I can't figure out how to post my intro so I am doing it here. I just got a van and am fixing it up all vandwellers have been such an inspiration to me I have to do it I just have to. I'm an artist and author, I like to read and research subjects that interest me for one reason or another. My kids are grown and have their own families, husband is past and well its just me and I feel like a burden, in the way and completely out of touch with them when I am around so I see no reason not to venture out myself.

I need a change in my life in a terribly big way and well mastering vandwelling seems like the right thing at this time in my life. Thanks for all the inspirational blogs and videos they have been encouraging, especially the women doing this alone. well that's my intro.

You're at the right place Badesigns! Welcome to the CRVL forums!

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you.

Hi and Welcome! Hope you post some pictures of van and all it's changes. :)

Badesigns,

Have you ever read or heard something and thought, "Wow! That's it, exactly!"?May I recommend this book? "Inventing the Rest of Our Lives: Women In Second Adulthood" by Suzanne Braun Levine.

I am not one to read self-help books but this one is especially good for those women in the throes of this time of life :)

Welcome to whatever the future may be.

Best wishes.

Hi Badesigns and welcome! I am excited for you and I'm very glad you are taking this opportunity that has come along in ways you may not have wished for, but here it is so grab hold and have some fun with it.

I outfitted my escape pod and it has made all the difference to me to know I just can jump in and go.

What van did you buy? Was it a blank slate for you to start out with? Oh my, there is so much to learn and do. My bet is your life will be renewed for a long, long while.

Hello & Welcome to the forum!!

There's a good crew on here ready and willing to help with any questions or issues that may (and will) pop-up during this new phase of your life. Lots of experience on here to draw from.

What kind of artwork do you do, and the same for your writing?? Do you have a website of a blog where we can check out your work?? We have several artists on board here (me included), and we'd love to see whacha do.

What part of the country are you from?? Any hobbies?? Critters??

and the van...whacha got?? We LOVE pictures too!! :D

Hello from the Oregon Coastline!!

Hello and welcome! You and I are in similar in many ways. It's just me and my 3 cats ready for life on the road. I did it when I was young and enjoyed it very much - longed to do it again ever since. I'm semi-retired. You'll find lots of help and welcome here. I've been here just a few days and it already feels like I've found a family in a way. :)

Welcome, glad you found the place, so many helpful and supportive folks here.
