I'm not trying to dissuade you here, it is probably that I'm getting old and I don't care for much or unnecessary discomfort.
If you think it is worth it for you, go for it and best of luck.

Alternatively, try to spend a night or two in a freezer, and see if it doesn't bother you much. Just saying.
If I were religious, I'd pray when you're gone, that god keeps you warm, but you're out of luck there...

The following could be worth a bit of discomfort.

A friend of mine was telling me about a boyfriend she had many years ago, who wanted to spend at least a full year in Alaska, in a van... She didn't, so they split. She never heard from or about him again.

We were discussing how difficult it would be to keep the van even tolerably warm. The best idea we could come up with was to build a highly-insulated garage with a wood stove in it, and park the van inside.
