I am the proud possessor of an aging body so I fit that criteria. A couple of Grandkids have expressed interest in making a trip or two with me so I think a side by side would work. I had no problems on the atv but worry a bit about long term riding with disc issues. Nothing is going to be perfect, so I am just looking for options.

I did not own a Yugo, but I bought one of the first Vega's sold in Dallas. Almost as bad.
 
I agree masterplumber quads are more practical. there are trail restrictions for the side by sides as well. Honda foreman's where great quads. highdesertranger
 
you might also want to consider how many people you want to ride along. If it is just you a quad is the way to go. If you have a significant other then you might want to look at a 2up version, Polaris makes a nice one. Or a side by side. For me it was payload, I can carry a lot more in the side by side than on the quad. It is a tight squeeze but it will fit on my 5x10 trailer. When I had 2 quads, I bought an 18 foot car hauler to move everything.
