Saw one of these VRV things in a parking lot, asked a lot of questions, checked it out and found a couple websites for it.
I realize that most here don't have much cash (neither do I...yet) but it's something to think about.

VRV Toyhaulers
LivinLite Manufac website

Another Aluminum trailer custom builder is Becker's Custom Trailers.
They're even more flexible on customizations and understand boondocking/dry camping better than VRV seems to.

In the 4th picture, how come the bed is like a tent inside the camper?

My use for their trailers will be completely different from yours Better for you to get the right information for you.
Click on one of the links below to go to their website for LOTS more pictures and plenty of details that can answer all your questions much better than I can.

VRV trailers
More VRV & other Aluminum trailers
Becker Custom Trailers (also make Aluminum custom trailers)

I know I know opinions are like a## h##es but if you didn't want thought you would not have posted, Seems to me like allot of space to heat and cool and not very stealthy but to each there own. Looks like a well built unit and although Aluminum truly doesn't rust it is brittle and has no give or forgiveness I have also looked at some of these by different manufactures and they all seem a little on the heavy side but again i live large in a small space, In the end if you like it and it works for you great, Just adding my two sense and feel free to offer me change back. Peace out!

Nope, wasn't looking for or asking for opinions. Only posted to offer ideas and options for anyone who might actually appreciate it or get some use from it.
You don't like it, or need it , or want it, or can't afford it - don't buy one.
No need to hate or rant.

Looks like really great trailers! My trailer is Aluminum skinned on a steel frame (plywood floor) and I love it. I haven't had it that long, but it has had some real abuse in very narrow, overgrown Sierra dirt roads and has held up like a champ. But it wasn't light, 6x10 and weighs 1300 lbs empty. If I had the money I would get all-aluminum.

I have a friend with Toxic Mold Syndrome and he ordered an all aluminum trailer because they won't hold mold which is devastating to his health.

Thanks for the info! Bob

i like tbe tipout bunk on the 6x15. Frees up floorspace. Kinda like tbe hybrid trailers.( ie rockwood "Roo")

Les - trick is to get them to put the bunk UNDER the awning, to protect from sun and rain.
FWIW - I gave up on trying to work with VRV. Becker Custom Trailers has no problem whatsoever doing the customizations I need, and at a much lower price!

I like the way the wheels are INSIDE the trailer outline in the first pic above (Post #1). I never figured out why nearly every trailer I see leaves the tires sticking out past the sides. I guess it would make the wheel base seem wider than the rest of the unit, which aids stability, but it wastes a lot of potential space, I'd think. I don't have a problem with wheel wells inside, and this is the way I intend to build my own unit. Of course, if someone can spell out a good reason not to do that I'd love to hear it. Input from prior experience is always welcome!
