If there isn't one, there should be. DH took another piece of the plastic dashboard panel off and found another round hole in the firewall, and a pile of rodent droppings. Dog was showing too much interest in the area. No wiring goes thru that hole. No vents, either. It serves no purpose except to let rodents in, and never did. They just whimsically punched a hole there.

We will be dismantling the whole bloody thing and sealing every hole we find. One day, I wish to run across some dude who casually brags about having designed Gulfstream dashboards. I am brushing up on natural poisons.

Here is one hole in the firewall. There is another about 6 inches away, but I  can't get the phone positioned to get a pic. There is a third about a foot away behind the hose. It's like a gerbil Habitrail back there.

Tomorrow,  we go to Home Depot and get metal hole plugs. and epoxy.

If you cant find metal hole plugs the right size, just epoxy some heavy metal mesh across it.

I've followed RV forums for close to two decades now, and Gulfstream is kind of famous for this crap. I recall that they build lots of mega-bucks diesel motorhomes that overheated, as they boxed the engine in too tight and didn't allow space for air flow. So essentially, a lot of victims dropped six figures on products that were too defective to actually use. In another case, an owner contacted them to determine where his waste tanks were located, and how to remove them? The factory told him that they didn't have a clue, LOL. Seriously, they would be happy to help if they knew, but they were clueless. They suggested that he forward a bunch of pics. of the underside of his rig, and they would walk them around the plant to see if anybody could figure it out.

A bit different than my Winnebago. I called to ask about locating and removing my 12V converter, on my nine year old, second hand motorhome. They took the serial number, and pulled up the same exploded drawing that I had found in their online archives. The tech. and I were literally on the same page, and he spent a few minutes walking me through the entire procedure. He then gave me the make, model and part number for the converter, based on my VIN #.

to gcal,   iv'e used metal [foil] pie plates from $tree store and attached the cut outs with caulk.  worked for me
