Good for you for trying rarely do you ever hear of on offs getting it on for good. Michael Cameron has the right attitude about love it does not work beat feet to the next one until you find one that does work.  Find a friend with benefits until you find the right one.

I like vans they are nice but I like the range and the Stealth of the Prius. The Prius V is a much larger car and I see copies for sale right now under $12K with 60 K miles. They have nearly 67 square ft cargo seats folded down I would just take the rear seats out and hack the car to suit me. The car is like a generator you can set that AC the hybrid battery will run the AC when battery goes low the engine will kick on recharge the hybrid battery and turn off. If you use a small box fan you can set your temp higher and save more fuel. I have a pop up tent I can use for emergency potty or shower. Never used it but I got it?

Another way to get more cargo space out the car and keep the MPG is get a tow hitch you can put a hitch haul cargo rack on the back and use a $15 Walmart sterlite tote  it holds 45 gallons over 6 cubic ft. I can also put a 60 quart ice chest on there the igloo that are taller than they are wide with wheels. That is a huge benefit in that you can carry dirty clothes in the  tote and your inside never has to  smell helps to be able to carry an extra gas can if you want in a car that gets 40+ MPG 6 gallons can get you out of a gas desert where fuel prices are high and into a  oasis for fuel. Over time that can net you a huge savings.

I know a man that lives out his Prius and what he does is rents a storage unit and takes everything out his car then he puts things back in that he will need for 3 days. Drives away lives for 3 then returns to the storage and re ups his provisions. I devised a way to hand wash clothes not that you have to save the $7 in quarters to wash but it is the time you are saving . Go to laundromat they often will have cycles what you do is you start washing your clothes and while you are in there people show up and take all the dryers you are forced to wait on dryers. IF you hand wash you can wash your clothes using the car and a bucket spin them with a clothes spinner they are nearly dry then I have taken clothes and worn them damp if it were hot enough it just felt like AC. I rather show up at laundromat with clean clothes and use just the dryer ? Use the clothes spinner I got and you might use their dryer 30 min max? Imagine how much better your life would be if you spent just 30 min at the laundromat vs the hours it usually takes.

The key to making the Prius V work is using your network of PLNT- NYSE gyms as long as you wear shower shoes you can keep this up as long as you feel. Just $25.50 a month for showers massage treadmill wifi and more.

Really hope things work better for you playing poker as a vocation interesting life for sure. I don't have the stones to do that job but I do enjoy playing the game to be good I find I got to just grind it got to be patient and pay attention.

If I had the budget I would certainly consider the Prius V. In fact, I looked them up locally to see what prices were like. I don't think I'd personally have an issue with something the size of a wagon or small hatch. I follow the "I live out of my van and not in my van" mindset as much as possible. Not to mention a lot of free hotel stays if I go back to poker, haha. That helps considerably here in Arizona where trying to keep ANY vehicle cool can be a futile battle that devours resources, haha.

Thankfully, for extra storage I have friends locally. I also like the hitch cargo carriers though I'm selective on what I will put in them. I do have a few giant totes left over from my time in the Army that I could mount on one.

For laundry, I prefer to use laundromats. Keeps the size of what I have to haul in the vehicle down and means I have an air conditioned place to go while washing. I can also pick and choose when to go so that I'm not dealing with crowds.

Since I plan to spend 50% of my time in the town I'm already in that makes things easy. I always know what gym I'm going to, where I want to do certain things, ect. The rest of the time gets split between Tucson, Phoenix, and Vegas.

Making a living off of poker requires a few thing. Firstly, you have to be good enough. As a skill based game it goes far beyond enjoyment because it is exhaustive mental work. After that there are two different ways to play for profit. Cash games and tournaments. They are like coffee and espresso. Similar is principle but wildly different things in practice. You have to lean towards the one which works for you. I have friends who play tournaments and online but can't walk off a cash table with chips to save their lives. I'm ok at tournaments but cash games is where I shine. Tournaments and online tends to be a grinding game while cash has much more action. There's also the matter of feeling out the dynamic (and how it changes/flows) for the table you're on and that's part of the mental workload.
