12 volt system.12 batteries.6 on one side have started getting hot.The 6 on the other side stay cool.Voltage on all batteries is fine.6.3 volts.Specific gravity is fine on all batteries. All batteries check good with a load test.Connections are all clean. No hotspots along the wiring,Nothing has been changed recently.I am lost.Any ideas?

A picture and a wiring diagram would possibly help. Did you disconnect the batteries and take individual battery voltage readings? Are both banks grounded at the same location? Did you try switching batteries from side to side which would tell you if the same batteries are heating up and therefore a battery problem?

I haven't tried switching batteries but that sounds like a good idea.I can't tell anything today as it's been raining.Supposed to be sunny tomorrow so I will switch a couple today and see what happens tomorrow.Lowdown, the charge controllers are all hooked up cross corner on the same corners as the inverter feed.I may switch controller supply lines to the battery ends on the cool side and see what happens. Thanks to both for suggestions.
