Okay first off, i will have to find out how to post pictures of it because the pictures are on my phone and I can't even see to login on phone to even sign in. a problem I need to address before I actually hit the road, enough said.... Anyway if you become interested be patient with me, I am technicaly deficient to say the least,
but now the trailer, it is a 1967 shasta compact 13, the actual dimensions are for box itself 6 feet wide by 10 feet plus a little you know the shape, but that is floor dimesions,
when I purchased it it needed a lot of work, I separated the entire shell from frame and sanded, wire brushed frame and painted trailer frame with black rustoleum paint, then using SS bolts replaced floor with 3/4 pressure treated plywood painted underside, then I finished striping interior walls to get to wall frame and replaced all rotted frame work, then I reframed the ceiling making it a little thicker with 2x2's and side walls also, added extra insulation, then on front and rear walls after the wall frame was fixed, I insulated and covered with 3/8 plywood for interior walls, the ceiling and side walls are finished with luan and sealed with varnish. looks pretty good, replaced roof vent and recoated all roof seams, replaced a couple broken widows on jaulesy windows and re screened the screens, also made lexan inserts to replace screens if I got caught in a dust storm, to seal real good.,...
I sanded exterior because it was repainted before, so has a new paint job,
no plumbing I set it up as a dry camper so you will need you own porti potti, has a sink original from trailer that I have made to drain into a 7 gallon water bucket all sealed just unscrew and empty.
has original entrance door with screen door, good shape,
has a new double tank, 20 lb each propane rack on hitch, with easy access covered opening for hose to enter trailer for a coleman cook stove, not included, I figured I had room so I could have a spare tank and I could always move stove outside and hook up to spare tank.
I just had axle replaced early this year, has easy lube hubs and 2 brand new tires and rims, I have 2 old tires and rims you can have for spares!
also installed is a 200 watt renogy solar kit, just like the one Bob wrote about recently on roof, I have one panel with wing nut and a 15 foot extension to put one panels in sun if I found a shady spot, good idea huh!,
a little effort to remove but would make a big difference if needed, oh also has original tail lights that work, of course and I replaced original marker lights with ones that look like the original ones, and a new license plate light.
ya know its 47 years old so dont expect a trailer that looks like a retro rebuild, I built this trailer like a rolling brick sh*t house so no questions it will roll another 47 years, and is still about original weight approx 1200 lbs,
now the reason I am selling.... I had been thinking a lot about my situation, and a few weeks before bob posted about the runaways I was looking at the wave trailers which are similar, but since the death of my pickup truck I am now the proud owner of a 2003 gmc safari van, which I love, but for me I want a separate place to sleep and add a/c, and I must commute between the west and florida, originally i was going to store trailer out west and stay at sis's house while in florida, flippin med reasons, but soon to be rectified when I finally move west for good.
any way too long of a post but needed to be said, the trailer is set up for dry or dispersed camping however you name it, it is solid, also has dinette table and room to sleep without breaking it down for traveling. my name is Dan, I am in Pensacola florida, my number is 850-376-6598 I can email you pics, I am sure I can do that, lol. if I miss your call leave a message I will call back, tell me best time to call or text ya, I can do that too! Oh wait, I might get some pics up?View attachment 2893View attachment 2893 well i think I got some pics up, I am tired night night lol
