Yeah permanent alternations is fine for me. I was also thinking of drilling a hole, one on each side of the trim piece and inserting the rod ends and retract it till it stops.

I have a 98 Sienna and I bought an adjustable curtain rod but it wont stay secured because the trim panel isn't flat. What's the best way to install and secure a curtain rod on a minivan?
