Fourteen days in any one particular campground, per year, in manageable. At least it isn't 14-days total, state wide, per calendar year. I afraid that's coming.
Never had to use it. Be mindful of the fine print, repairs might have to be made in Mexico at their shop rates. If parts aren't available you may have to leave the vehicle, and return to pick it up.
I have a portable solar panel set. Sometimes I use both, it and the generator, at the same time. Often the tree cover is just too dense and I don't feel like chasing the sun with the portable solar panel set.
I've got 68 hours on mine. Liking it so far. There's a lot of tree cover here in the Midwest which makes using roof mounted solar panels problematic. Sometimes its just easier to fire up the generator, for a couple of hours, than trying to chase the sun though a break in the tree cover.

Speaking for myself, I try to keep the waste water volume as low as possible. Some days I use Scubzz Bathing Wipes placed in an enamel wash basin. The water being heated on the stove. The waste water is used to ensure the campfire is out before I roll.
Not everyday and/or site is conducive for solar. All I need out of mine is 400 watts to recharge the camper and ebike batteries. At half load, I've been getting 6 hours run time on half gallon of gas.
