NEW Vented Propane heater for small spaces

That one didn't work. I could not keep the flames clean. Was getting yellow flames which are wasting fuel and build up soot all on the inside.

NEW Vented Propane heater for small spaces

The main issue with venting the LP heater is grabbing most of the heat. This simple design probably throws out 50% of the heat. You want slow flow with lots of obsticles to grab all the heat. The exhaust on mine is barely warm. Mass produced it would cost maybe $150. I'm just proving the...

NEW Vented Propane heater for small spaces

The heater is 94% efficient. It draws the air from the outside, mixes it with LP, burns it and throws back outside with all the fumes, moisture and carbon monoxide. The heat stays in the vehicle and it's all done without any need for electricity. It is totally silent too. $7 Optional 12v silent...

    Media says we are loosers

Another article showing how rv and van dwellers are miserable. Bunch of BS https://www.marketwatch.com/story/many-older-americans-are-living-a-desperate-nomadic-life-2017-11-06

    New outside vented stove design

The front grill would require more manufacturing steps and safety switches would complicate everything and now, it neads power to run it. Im trying to keep this design simple and available to anyone. I will have couple shops quote it but i will upload all CAD drawings here so you can try to...

    New outside vented stove design

It has to be at 45 degree to work without a fan. Not everyone has power storage to run fan all night. If you place it verticaly, you need a fan to blow thru holes. If you lay it down, the gasses will not rise and you will need long vertical exhust pipe to create suction

    New outside vented stove design

Most cookware is aluminum. You need extreame temperature and air to ignite Aluminum.

    New outside vented stove design

This is nothing new. There are many vented heaters on the market but they need electricity, are huge, designed to heat large space and cost arm & leg.

    New outside vented stove design

Bob just posted a video about heating the van. I use a stove just like him cause I think the Buddy heaters are pointless. BTU per LB of propane is the same no matter how you burn it. One major problem for me is always mousture. Everything gets wet and damp. Not a big problem in the desert but...

Here are some images showing our spending in October living in 22' trailer in RV park 50 miles from Manhattan.  We went from living downtown making $170,000 and spending $9,000 per month, to moving north to suburbs living on $6,000. Then moving further north to PA living on $4,500 budget...

    Overwhelming support

I'm a mechanical engineer who wrenches on cars as a hobby (always rebuilding, restoring, flipping vans and trucks) and I own Astro Van. I have about 100 van and truck repair videos on youtube, channel name is ASTRO CAMPER These Astro vans are great and last a really long time. The older, pre...

    tow vehicle

Having trailer brakes and brake controller is the ticket. It's always the stopping that is the problem. You can tow 3000lbs trailer with 4 cylinder car (just slow to get it moving but you wont be able to stop it). If trailer has it's own brakes, you can max that 6000lbs

Survive on $600 living out of vehicle??

I think Nomadic Fanatic made some video on Youtube about frustrations with WA Medicaid (end up paying for private doctor) as the wait was 2 months. This is the problem with FREE medicaid. This is why Midwestern states Medicaid charge per procedure which means one visit could cost $5 to $50...

Survive on $600 living out of vehicle??

This May will be our last TAG renewal in Pennsylvania. Next year in May we will be switching to IN or NV. Both have Medicaid. Indiana has better medical system with thousands of doctors taking Medicaid (HIP 2.0) and has no vehicle inspections, low auto insurance (46th out of 50 states), low...

Survive on $600 living out of vehicle??

It's all about income level. If you make less you pay less. If you make over $47,000 and are single you will pay full price. For 2 people its $63,000 and for 3 it's $80,000

Survive on $600 living out of vehicle??

They don't even ask for last year income. It's all based on last month and current month. The only way that could be a problem is if you make big chunk in 1 month and then nothing in next 3 but even then at the end of the year, it will be adjusted and you will receive credit. We are talking...

Still stressing out about my tools

I'm in the process of downsizing right now. So I'm selling my large tools 1x1 and buy smaller versions. We are going nomadic with 2500HD truck and small 22' trailer. The back of the trucks will be my 250cc bike (310lbs) and tools (300lbs). I have a nice 6 foot long SS tool box that I'm bolting...
