    Short-Term Parking

Usually there are several motels with shuttles to the airport. I usually stay a night at the motel and ask if I can leave my vehicle there until I return for a gratuity. There are shuttle services if you find a private individual or place to park as well. I have scheduled mechanical maintenance...

    Cats and Vanlife

Fleas, ticks and the disease they carry make owning most pets a real challenge for many people. We ended up choosing not to own pets mainly because our small child was our priority. Had an eagle take one of our larger cats while my two year old son was playing with it, could have injured him...

    24/7 Chat About Anything

Yep, it happens in really remote areas usually in winter when there are less humans around and natural food sources are scarce. I found it amazing that coyotes intentionally crap on areas humans have frequented during the summer months. Guess they have their opinions! lol!!! My neighbor called...

    24/7 Chat About Anything

Fox and coyote are working together now. Cute fox distracted my wife while she was cooking her steak while crafty coyote stole my steak off the plate on the table behind her.

    Thinking About Selling

Basically a modified but uncompleted van is worth less than a stock manufactured van or a completed all systems tested and working van. Vans in this state are considered projects. Normally your best bet is to sell the uninstalled components or systems by themselves or individually and put the...

    What are YOU listening to??

My favorite Christmas song “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby in April, 1975.

    Finding boondocking sites

You are normally hard pressed to find a Ranger as they are usually only in the remote areas during emergencies. Most of their time is spent getting to or from more used areas as more people cause more problems. Budgets are not in place to properly hire enough to do their primary job of providing...

    Buying Land

For me you would have to consider humidity and insects as well Lol!!! Guess I’ll just stick with southern Arizona and hope everyone gets thirsty and moves!

Infinity Recirculating Shower Technology? Anyone have a system in the Van? Awesome or gross?

Experiencing living on a boat, extended backing trips or living on the streets can change your perspectives but not always your desires! Lol!!!

    Finding boondocking sites

I think some may be missing the point. Roads are defined, identified and either open or closed by the BLM or National Forest Service. Maps are available and contacting them may save you having problems. Recently more roads are being closed or limited in use so current information is important to...

    Finding boondocking sites

Welcome! There are several sources for free camping and most are free just do a google search. The BLM and National Forest Service has “dispersed camping” areas on their maps for example. Most individuals do not share their “best” places online as they would quickly get overcrowded. You might...

Infinity Recirculating Shower Technology? Anyone have a system in the Van? Awesome or gross?

To begin with it was. I assembled it without all the supplied pieces to make it a little longer than the length of the barrels and bought a commercial barrel rack which I mounted to the trailer frame. It’s deck is about 4’ x 4’. I used ratchet straps to hold the barrels in the racks. I mounted a...

100W pannel trickle power INTO Minivan Battery?

A charge controller is usually included in the system to do just that. My portable 100 watt panels came with one mounted on the back of the panel to be used with lead acid batteries or AGM as it is an older one. I would suggest you contact a solar supplier that sells controllers and examine the...

Infinity Recirculating Shower Technology? Anyone have a system in the Van? Awesome or gross?

I solved my water problems by towing a small trailer with 2 55 gallon drums mounted to the trailer. One for fresh water with its own 12 volt water pump (identical to the one in the camper so I have a spare) and 12 volt battery with a small solar panel to keep it charged. I simply pump water into...

100W pannel trickle power INTO Minivan Battery?

A battery tender can help solve the problem. I use a 100 watt portable solar panel to keep my battery charged with no problems while stationary. I simply remove the connection when I need to use the vehicle. The issue may be the battery itself as they can develop internal shorts.

    Medical questions

If you are young and plan to only do low paying jobs the rest of your life enlist in the military and use the VA medical system which is as close to socialized medical treatment as you can get in the USA and is available throughout the United States to veterans.
