These sound like great initial impressions! I'm looking forward to hearing more as you go.

    Fire Extinguisher and CO detector

Calaverasgrande, where did you place your CO monitor? My converter put it in the garage, which seems odd. I worry about packing things too near it.

Is it okay to even have a pet as you age?

Do you take her on the road?

Planning storage in a van build

Doubling down on this. I can't emphasise it enough. I'm in the packing phase right now, and the first time I forgot where something was I started a list. It's on my phone, called "Where did I put ... ?", and it gets as detailed as "Vacuum cleaner tools - bottom sink drawer". Highly recommend.

    AirTag for tracking stolen rig?

Hmmm - 2013 Sprinter here, and the battery is under a floor panel behind a fastened side panel under the floor mat under the driver's floor. It takes two different Torx to get to the battery. So a manual battery cut-off doesn't seem to make sense, unless I'm missing something obvious. What...

    24/7 Chat About Anything

Gosh, I love wind and trees. The sound feels like a fluffy comforter wrapping me up. Strong winds are a different story of course; it's nice to have the option of just driving away.

    Save Money on Gas video

I'm happy to hear that other people choose to drive slow; I've been feeling a little embarrassed when I'm being passed all the time. I think I'll be able to chill out about this now. :)

Got a cargo to convert- where to go now?

There’s a ton of info online re building a solar system, and I think you’ll be able to do something within that budget that will power that setup.

Going full-time: just started my buildout!

    What a lovely offer!

    any kayakers here?

That sucks. <3 Balance is so important. If I do nothing else I do my balance exercises every day. You can definitely regain it. Also - I'm a super slow paddler, maybe we can meet up someday.

    What's in your van kitchen!

OK, yum to that. I've done something similar with green walnuts (vin de noix), so this sounds very doable. I love to bake, and I had a Dometic propane oven installed. I need to get smaller pans, so I can experiment with cakes, tarts, etc. I have my lovely Kitchenaid sitting in storage, and I...

    What's in your van kitchen!

That's impressive! How much water and electricity does it use for a single load?

You’re inspiring me! What is your recipe for homemade pear liquor?

    Trash Disposal

That bag folding technique is very appealing to the sheet folder in me.
