Your ideal kit list for living in a small space on the move

I value the things I use frequently, keep me comfortable, and that remind me of good times. Before starting out my process is to empty a room and pretend it's my van. Live in the room and bring things in as I need them for daily life or because I feel lost without them. After a few days that set...

    free alternative to netflix?

I second using Youtube for movies. I suspect many of the free movies are posted illegally but you can still find and watch them until they are pulled. A surprising number are also ad-supported. I find that some ad-blockers suppress the ads, so it's effectively still a free and and no-ad experience.

How soon will electric or hybrid vans/RVs be common?

I've got a Sienna hybrid. It gets about 36 MPG both city and highway so it's usually our city driver. Unfortunately it's not a plug-in hybrid, and the battery is too small to do more than move me around a parking lot at very low speed. But it does work very well for what it is designed for -...

A smart way to build... the Minimum Viable Build (MVB) Method

Keeping warm in sub-freezing weather, using only a tiny amount of fuel for heat.

Hmm, if you have frost inside I'd suggest cracking a window to help ventilate to remove the moisture. As it melts it could collect inside the interior fabrics and result in mold. A less effective method could be desiccant containers. Some of those can be reactivated by heating to release the...

    Offroad tires for Odyssey

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately Cepek doesn't seem to fit the Odyssey and I didn't see one of the Discoverer series with the mileage I was hoping for. The LT trick sort of worked but only when using the basic search box. None of the tire selection pages I found allowed me to limit the...

    Offroad tires for Odyssey

Need recommendations after finding it hard to find light truck or the E tires I've seen mentioned here. Both Tire Rack and Discount Tire have been less than helpful. I'm original owner of my 2005 Odyssey van and planning on trying out nomad life for a few months in June or July. The chat guy at...
