    2nd ambulance found pls compare

If you do opt for the RV in TN, if it were me I would do the transfer at the Tennessee DMV and hand the cash over at that time. Also an inspection by a qualified person would be desirable before purchase. The previous post by bullfrog ! is also important. Driving back and forth in the RV will...

    Been thinkin (Again)

Nice post. Thanks. You're doing great. Congratulations. Stay out of those Assist Living places. Before you know it you are in Memory Care. Life is miserable in those places. Have two sisters that were talked into it (siblings). One died after a year and another is miserable crying most days...

    Quartzsite LTVA Fee Hike

The proposed fee hike at the LTVAs in Arizona I think is going to be very detrimental to the Quartzsite community as well as the campers that look forward to using the La Posa LTVA. Many of the users of the LTVA have minimum incomes and the LTVA has provided a community experience as well as...

    2008 Dodge Grand Caravan Conversion

Very nice build and great pictures. I wish I would of seen this thread when I owned my Dodge Grand Caravan. I made many camping trips with it but it would of been better had I done some of the things you did.

2007 6500 DURAMAX 24' BOX TRUCK 20,000 ACTUAL MILES - $21,000 (THREE RIVERS,MI) not mine, just found on Craigslist

Agree on the older low mileage vehicle. My 97 Winnebago RV had 24K miles on it when I bought it 5 years ago. Since then the mileage has doubled with no mechanical issues.

2007 6500 DURAMAX 24' BOX TRUCK 20,000 ACTUAL MILES - $21,000 (THREE RIVERS,MI) not mine, just found on Craigslist

IMO usually offers on Craigslist that are too good to be true are not legit.

Eat right, get exercise and live long or

A thing I have learned is that staying in the LTVA at Quartzsite, hiking every day, sleeping good, and eating good is a very healthy life style. I feel healthier there than when spending most of the time in our sticks and bricks home.

    ✅ Questions about Ford E-450 w/ 6.8 Gas Triton V10…

I have a '97 Winniebago with a E350 Engine. Currently arount 45K miles on it. I bought the RV used 5 years ago with 24K miles on it. As far as oil changes I take mine to Walmart (high bay). So that is nice and the price is reasonable. However due to the age Ford dealers do not service mine...

    24/7 Chat About Anything

Thank you for your information. I hadn't realized that some RVers choose to stay in Q over the summer. The temperature gets pretty hot but I guess you get use to it.

    24/7 Chat About Anything

I was wondering if anyone knows how many people are still at the Quartzsite LTVA. I know the season ended April 15th but the weather still seems pretty good.

How do u live on $700/month, truly?

Hi WB8YVN, Quartzsite LTVA is an excellent no stress place to winter. Many snow birds go there and stay the winter. You can buy the Long Term pass for $180 that covers your total cost for 7 months (Sept 15 the Apri 15). There is water, a dump station, and trash bins., So for long term stays the...

    RvNaut

Hi RvNaut, You mentioned the starter on your Onan generator went out, I was wondering how many hours you had on your generator when it broke. I have a similar generator on my RV (1997 Minnie Winnie - 22') and wondering how long I might expect mine to work. Currently it has around 250 hours on...

    Definitely doing it!

Hi WB8VYN, Been a fan of yours for awhile. For a nice place to tryout go to the LTVA area in Quartzsite, AZ. Great place to winter. Also there is another LTVA down the road 60 miles near Yuma. You can stay at both and the cost is only $180 for seven months (until April 15). There is a dump...

    When Vans Get Stolen

I think it is important to have comprehensive insurance on your RV/van/camper. It doesn't cost much for the insurance as compared to collision and liability. I recently had my catalytic converter stolen from my RV. Repair cost was around $2500. Had $250 deductible so it wasn't too painful. Also...

    amateur radio

Agree about the morse code requirement going away. I have often thought if the FCC brought back the old Novice license along with the code requirement it would ignite a spark in some of the younger generation. Too many of us old guys now and not many young people. Got my license in 1962...

    Are We Crazy?

You might consider staying more out west. I have found the Quartsite/Yuma AZ LTVA areas are ideal for long term camping. The LTVA at Yuma has a lake which I am pretty sure you can put your jet ski on for recreation (please if anyone knows differently correct me if I am mistaken about the jet ski...

    What's your favorite zombie movie/show?

I liked Zombieland as well. The Ghost Busters parts were the best I thought.
