Thank y'all for commenting. Next step is a sink behind the drivers seat & use the front sto-n-go for gray water tank. That way the compartment is being used but all I have to do is pull the plug from the hose underneath. I can lay my floor with no special cuts to access. I never need into it.

The only reason i can think of not to use 1x2 and the smaller wood planks, Would be at most Home Depots & Lowes are bowed and twisted, Out of the entire bin, sometimes there are 0 straight boards to use.

After long hard thought on the subject, Im going to live in the van and tent is for, camouflage, bathroom & storage when parked. Just seems easier to me
