where can i sell (2) 100 watt solar panels?

The market for those would probably be greater in Quartzsite, where there are more solar users and people interested in solar.

    Fleet van question re rust

There are two basic types of rust on vehicles. Surface rust which is common in most parts of the country. It's a thin coating and usually nothing to worry about as long as the metal underneath is solid. Then there's the rust that makes the metal flaky, bubbly and weak and creates holes or...

    Fuel tank for diesel heater.

It's not a good idea to have the fuel line coming from the bottom of the tank anyway. Sediment can get into system. With a stand pipe cut about a quarter inch short of the bottom you can avoid that.

    Fire Blanket?

Do you have a history of things catching fire? If not, is there something about mobile living that makes you think there's a greater risk?

    Fuel tank for diesel heater.

There are lots of vendors with tables full of used crap. You might get lucky and find the part. You might get extra lucky and it might be functional.  If you're talking about one of these — a stand pipe — it looks like you can get one online...

help me brainstorm? (travel related but not van related)

Yes, where are love and peace? And beer?

    Fire Blanket?

In what sort of scenario do you envision using one? Yes, a fire, but what kind? What's on fire, how did it start?

If you do get stuck, I suspect you will be disappointed.

help me brainstorm? (travel related but not van related)

Years ago there was a 2-man stage show entitled "Greater Tuna." It was about the fictional town of Tuna, Texas. The two actors played a variety of characters. One character was a woman who objected to Spanish being taught in schools. She went on a rant about how proper Texans/Americans need to...

help me brainstorm? (travel related but not van related)

I was sent to China on a business trip. It was the most alien I had ever felt. I had a translator for the work sessions, but I was left to fend for myself the rest of the time. Pointing and pantomiming can accomplish a surprising number of things.

help me brainstorm? (travel related but not van related)

That reminds me of the time I was in Brussels, where the official languages are Dutch, French and German. In my best (awful) junior high school French I asked a shopkeeper, "Parles-tu Anglais?" To which he replied, "Yes, do you?"  Oh. Yeah. If someone speaks English they would understand if I...

    Table DIY ideas

There's this type of table where one end loops over a tire and the other end has a folding leg. <a href="https://imgbb.com/"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/6XVMQgM/external-content-duckduckgo.jpg" alt="external-content-duckduckgo" border="0" /></a>

How to get vehicle out of desert sand

Watch some videos by Matt's Off Road Recovery. He works out of Hurricane, UT, and a lot of people go out to Sand Hollow and promptly get stuck. Even with 4-wheel drive. He sometimes shows what the drivers tried — boards, floor mats, recovery tracks, etc. — without success. The best thing is to...

    The Value of Travel

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness,..." Sadly, I've known a few well-traveled people who managed to remain prejudiced, bigoted and narrow-minded.

    Buying Prescription Drugs in Mexico.

I got Metformin and Gabapentin in Mexico with no prescription, no hassles. Those are relatively cheap meds to begin with, so my savings weren't huge, but you can save quite a bit on meds that are more expensive in the US. All the border towns/cities have farmacias that cater to US customers.

    Veggie Oil powered Cook Stove

This place in Van Horn, TX might disagree: <a href="https://imgbb.com/"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/7V5swqx/dfc.jpg" alt="dfc" border="0"></a>

    Veggie Oil powered Cook Stove

A gallon of Walmart brand vegetable oil is currently priced at $7.82. So unless you have a source for used deep fryer oil wherever you might go, that's kind of a pricey fuel.

I think of the odor from the few times I've accidentally burned cooking oil. Mmmm, nah.

    Bank account

By "not available" do you mean she won't let you use it anymore, or that you think the bank, DMV and insurance won't accept that address if you're no longer there? If you mean the latter, my "domicile" address is a friend's place where I've never actually lived. I just put it on a blank lease...
