    So the top hose was filled with air..... lol Check the level in the radiator again in a week or so in case any more air got pushed out. Glad you got it sorted out!

    If everything was fine before you changed hoses and the thermostat I'd say there's air trapped in the system. Assuming it's got a v8 since it's a 2500, this is from ls1techs:

    I'm unfamiliar with the area, but call around to some local garages and see if there's a "bolt doctor" in the area? I'm not sure if that's a common service, but we have a guy that will come to you and extract anything with a thread pretty much (yes even modular ford spark plugs lol) Good luck!
