    Frita, the never ending project.

Not much work getting done because it's cold. I got notice that my Afterburner heater controller is on its way, so looking at mounting and plumbing of diesel heater this weekend. Not sure if I can tap into the diesel fuel line or if I will run a feeder yet.

    Frita, the never ending project.

    I have a 200A isolator that I haven't installed and I almost bought the 40A DC/DC charger, but I haven't quite decided. I want to also add a 140A alternator, it's on the list.

Not sure what you are asking. I have 2 200Ah batteries connected to 400W of solar. Right now I don't have any AC needs, but I knew I would eventually so I added the inverter. The inverter is also a transfer switch so I can charge the batteries off shore power as well. I will have the shore...

https://www.affordablervparts.com/ $[/url]50, and they had my kitchen faucet 25% off, so it was score along with the door. Had I not already bought my sink, I could have gotten the exact sink I needed for $60 vs the $100 I paid. I need to check there first. They have my couch for $300, but the...

Got the shower pan finally as well as the second battery. Shore power inlet shows up today. The pan is slightly smaller that originally spec'd. It's a 24x32 and the extra 4" leaves room for my battery drawer to not hit the wall. Strongly considering a small insulated sub floor now.

Has anyone tried one of these Chinese Diesel Parking Heaters?

This looks really cool, but there isn't info on what models and where to get it.  I sent an email for more info. I could see running this and if I get a year out of it, that would work.

The fridge fan sits right under the coil, it worked out well. I still need to get the fridge installed, but I might have to adjust my cabinet because of the sink. So close, and yet so far.

Not sure yet. I might not even need them, but I figured it wouldn't hurt while I was in there. I will be watching the temp once I have everything installed and running. They were $5, cheap insurance.

Drilled some holes in my floor for fans. 2 under the battery box and one under the fridge.

    Black tank vent options?

I was thinking my tank is on the driver's side and I don't have a door on that side, so we aren't over there ever. I might start with the fuel vent, it was $7. If I need to go through the roof, I can in the corner behind the toilet. Thanks everyone for the feedback.

    Black tank vent options?

I totally understand HOW a vent works. I am trying to avoid cutting another hole in my roof. This is why I am considering the fuel tank vent, to allow air but not waste water to flow out. But I also don't anticipate my tank ever being more than half full.

    Black tank vent options?

Maybe I don't need a vent? It's an 18.5 gallon tank because it was cheaper and it fits. I will only have 25 gallons fresh, so most our trips will likely be 3-4 days tops. Or maybe the fuel tank vent will work well enough should a vent be needed. Thanks for the feedback, it helps.

    Black tank vent options?

That's my concern, but running it through the floor, then through the roof means cutting 2 more holes in my truck. If I am going to go that route, a fan would also be used. The idea being a fuel vent valve would allow for air flow, but mitigate smell. I could be wrong (wouldn't be the first time).

    Black tank vent options?

I just installed my black tank and I haven't done water supply yet, so we haven't really used it yet. But all the venting seems to be roof mount, but Scamp trailers use a side vent. I found a plastic fuel tank side vent and am considering installing it in the side of the tank.  Since this is my...

    Frita, the never ending project.

So I got the bulk of the wiring buttoned up, I will finish the switch box tonight. I was able to finally cut and fit my last wall panel, but needs paint still. Because we plan on using it this weekend I went ahead and secured the cabinets and countertop. Also got my battery drawer finished, I...

    Frita, the never ending project.

Got my wires redid and I couldn't be happier. While not fun, the end result is not only better looking, but an upgrade. Using the GXL wire also makes the overall harness smaller. With 10 circuits it is about 1/4 the size it was with 6 circuits. My connections are solid and it looks pretty good, too.

Thumb is great, but that was a damn hard lesson. Wires should be here Friday so I can get stuff rerouted. Also planning my shower, I think I have a plan for a showerloop, I hope anyway.

New here, have no idea what I am doing.

Here's my google album, I started a build thread in the Vans forum. https://photos.app.goo.gl/Pat5AFWXjJZRP9Ka8 I think I saw some shots of Putts build while looking. I have some pretty big plans, but we will see if I can pull it off. : :D

The steering column was bent, cracked, and all the bearings had fallen out. The intermediate shaft from the column to the steering box was also shot. I wanted a tilt wheel anyway, so this was the time to do it. I used polished forged u joints and a polished shaft to replace the intermediate shaft.
