Guidelines for Overnight Parking in Towns

It’s me again. I’m rather concerned about this lifestyle that up to now has been pretty rewarding. So now I’m forbidden from ever being in this shopping center again or face jail time. This could have been at my job, my gym, or one of the food establishments I regularly frequent. Is this a...

Guidelines for Overnight Parking in Towns

Thanks for the guidance (25 miles). To answer your questions, I work at an Aldi. There are 1-2 trucks that park overnight at the rear corner of the property adjacent to 2 other properties. I’m not comfortable overnight parking at work, though, because 1 of my supervisors is very closed-minded...

Guidelines for Overnight Parking in Towns

I’ve been stealth camping for almost 2 years in a smaller town with an abundance of shopping centers. I got my 2nd knock about an hour ago with the threat of jail next time I’m there. I’m really confused about what property I’ve been warned about. It’s 2 adjacent shopping centers surrounded by...

    Butane stove not working

I bought a new can of butane and still no luck. I didn’t try leaving it out in the sun since it’s already 70-80 degrees out. I guess tomorrow I’ll be buying a new stove. Any recommendations?

    Prevent sunburn

Sunscreens are dangerous and another tool to profit the medical-pharmaceutical industrial complex and globalist eugenicists. Your body needs UVB from direct, midday sun for adequate nutrition. We were made to live on this planet...

    DYI -Heat solution

I’d love to put one in my van eventually, but it’s near the bottom of my list of needs. I just run the van heater and an electric blanket off my Jackery. One thing about the Cubic Mini is that while it’s rated for vans & RVs, everything has a trade-off: This one is that it isn’t big enough to...

    Butane stove not working

I don’t have another can. @HDR That’s what I was afraid of. I ejected & reset the fuel can into the lock several times. I thought there was maybe blockage in the tubing

    Butane stove not working

Hello. I’m 2 hours into my day and nothing seems to be working out  :( I have a Coleman butane camp stove that won’t light. I see the ignition sparking and tried using a lighter as well. Apparently the fuel isn’t coming out. The fuel can is about 1/2 full and I haven’t used the stove in a...

broke my foot 2 months into van life.

IMO it’s a huge risk to rent out property- especially rolling property. You may be stuck with enormous repair bills and who will assume liability? If it were me I’d try to manage the van with a broken foot. I see good ideas in the thread ?

Use lithium house battery for small trolling motor?

Thank you. I appreciate the options for cheaper American-made batteries. I won’t buy anything made in China in protest of live organ harvesting of Falon Gong practitioners ☠️

Use lithium house battery for small trolling motor?

@XERTYX Interesting point. I will have to go down to my storage unit and verify but I don’t think I’ll have time today. @LDSReliance I appreciate the formula! What is the biggest lithium battery available? I have to choose run time vs. budget vs. battery weight but would like to know what the...

Use lithium house battery for small trolling motor?

Minn Kota Endura Max… In the river I have to go full throttle to get upstream about 75% of the time and 25% going downstream to maintain control of my direction.

Use lithium house battery for small trolling motor?

It is a 12v. I’d love to hear your choice for battery size. I was having a hard time finding any reference for amp hour run time, but I managed to find a guy on YouTube demonstrating 2 hours 40 minutes continuous run time out of 50AH on a Minn Kota like mine. Another guy had a different motor...

Use lithium house battery for small trolling motor?

What is I just buy one lithium battery and 100 watt solar now, use it for boat & house, then say next year add 2 more lithium batteries with a 200 watt solar system for house use? I understand they would be 2 separate systems from the solar panels to the batteries. Then do the 2 systems join in...

Use lithium house battery for small trolling motor?

Are you saying it has to be replaced by another 12.9 volts to maintain the 13.4 volts? Is there a way to disable the system on my boating days?

Use lithium house battery for small trolling motor?

If I install a bank of lithium batteries in my van, is it possible to remove one to run the trolling motor when going out in a boat, and be able to put it back at the end of the day? Or do I need a dedicated battery? I’m in a conundrum with the small boat & trolling motor I recently bought. I...

Looking for the thread that breaks down the differences between American vans

Last month I found a great thread in the forums here that break down the differences between Ford, Dodge, and Chevy/GMC vans. Now I can’t find it and want to mention it on a social media site I started using. Can someone link the thread please? Also, it really deserves a sticky!

I came up with an invention for a van...the trailer hitch garden

Interesting! Just remember the cargo carriers have 400-500 lb weight limits. Also in my research of gypsy vardos, I’ve learned some of them were built with small chicken coops in the side!

Back up camera for hitch cargo carrier

Hey, all - I’ve been thinking about getting a back up camera for my ‘92 GMC/Explorer conversion and the time is nigh. I’m going to be using a hitch-mount cargo carrier and need a good view when backing up. I definitely want one that will be hard-wired in (no wifi/wireless/SMART nonsense that...
