You wouldn't want to have top heavy or tall plants in a mobile environment, but there's no reason you couldn't try and grow salad greens and the like.
There might be issues with something like wind...
This post may help other people. I didn't really find a thread specifically on sleep apnea.
If you need a cpap machine, having an A/C setup may not always work out.
Transcend came up with a travel machine that runs on battery packs, and can be charged via solar...
I agree that sleep apnea is the likely cause. Could be something like your head oriented badly, despite being being comfy.
Sleep study is the easiest way to figure out if you need a machine.
Actually I find people who 'prep' by beefing up a vehicle with guns and armor a little ridiculous. Unless your stock piling fuel, your going to be screwed. Its one of the first things that would disappear when SHTF.
Your vehicle has to be well insulated, and you'll have to invest in a proper heater and fuel for the winter months. Layering will only go so far before you get miserable and opt'd for living in a hotel for 4 months.
To keep yourself busy, get some cross country skies, snowshoes or take up...
I wouldn't be able to do this myself but I thought it might be cool to see if someone with welding knowledge, and some time, wanted to do this.
Essentially you cut off part of the roof and remove the rear doors from a van. You still have access from the sliding door(s). Put in a new frame that...
Unless you plan to have a hidden cache somewhere, this could be difficult to do. Your vehicle probably has all spare room used up. And the whole point is to travel light.
I'd make a list of your commonly used items. Think stuff like stick matches, toilet paper, etc.. See what you need. Likely...
If you are in Canada, I find the best program is the Canadian Tire Options Mastercard. All purchases earn Canadian Tire money, Fuel being the best because the rewards multipliers are automatically applied.
Just keep paying off the card so you don't get interest payments.
I used to get $30-40...
I'd call any RV places in the area and see if they have stock, or surplus RV tanks. Craigslist and junk yards that might have old RVs you can get scrap parts off of.
I just wouldn't do it during the day if you are using a park. If you get hassled, just tell them you are on the move and ran out of options.
There are a few water parks near my place (like a small city park, but have a few water related things for kids), and they have washrooms and hose-off...
I picked up a few from Mountain House before I went on a back packing trip, to see if they were any good. I had no troubles with them, but a few of my friends reported abnormal stomach problems when they ate them.
I would test them and keep them around for emergencies, or REALLY lazy days...
I just came across this while researching something else.
http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2013/02/chicago-auto-show-2014-ram-promaster-cargo-van/
<a...
Adding a switch would make them more useful as an emergency flashlight.

I actually stuck that model (the one in your picture) into mason jars because they fit snug where the lid cap should go. They make a neat solar light for more permanent setup locations.
