    Highlander Hybrid?

Does your HiHy have a moonroof and if so do you use it for ventilation while camping?

    Tesla Pickup

I wonder if it would be possible to bring along a portable gas generator to charge the CyberTruck when out in the boonies. Not that that's the solution anyone is looking for.

    Tesla Pickup

Elon said the production truck will be like a scaled down version of the concept. I don't think the production truck will fit an F150 in the bed, which might be a good thing.

I don't want to be "that guy" but the Tesla CyberTruck will not have an oil dipstick. :P

    Highlander Hybrid?

I am interested in the same. I found a video of it running A/C parked and there is a rather annoying noise from the engine compartment that sounds like an air raid siren in the video. I assume it's an A/C condenser fan cycling. I have no idea how loud it is in real life though. (engine starts at...

    shopping for induction cooktop

I got the iSiLER CHK-CCA02 (touch controls without knob) from Amazon. I tried it out with three different compatible pots and pans. All heated fine, but the unit makes a high frequency electronic buzz/zap type noise (similar to a bug zapper but softer and continuous), which seems to get worse at...

    shopping for induction cooktop

I read a Duxtop user guide which states that you can switch between Temperature Mode and Power Mode. Basically choosing one or the other. However, the video I referenced shows the user first selecting a wattage (300 watts), then selecting a temperature. So that seemed to indicate that you can...

    shopping for induction cooktop

Doing a bit of research today and just happened to find a new video just posted today where she uses the iSiLER set at 300 watts which seems very relevant to this forum and thread. I'm not sure if I can post links here yet, so just search YouTube for a video called "Induction Cooking in a Car &...

    shopping for induction cooktop

Weight, thanks for this info on what is required to power these units. Very helpful! tx2sturgis, thanks for that great info and those links to the research articles which I found very interesting! So far I only have one piece of induction-compatible cookware. But I like it so much that I'm...

    shopping for induction cooktop

I appreciate the perspectives on whether induction is or isn't right for you, and I am learning a lot! My main reason for the thread though is just to ask those who do use induction about their own experiences with specific induction units that they either like or don't like. Thanks! :)

    shopping for induction cooktop

Thanks very much Maki2. I like the compact design of the Duxtop 9300ST Ultra Thin you linked. Limiting my search to a 1500w unit is something I hadn't thought of. I downloaded the user guide for the Duxtop. It states that a 15 amp circuit is required. So that would indeed seem less demanding...

    shopping for induction cooktop

I'm shopping for a portable countertop induction cooktop. I searched the forum and found threads discussing general use, but didn't find any reviews of specific units. I'm considering the IKEA TILLREDA but after watching some reviews on YouTube it seems like the fan is kinda noisy. I also...

First look Fiat / Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivan

I like it. It is a plug-in hybrid and can run on battery power alone for 33 miles. But I am hoping Toyota will offer this technology on the next gen Sienna as I'd much rather have a Toyota than a FCA.
