    Wikipedia climate data questionable?

I'm not a climate scientist and you probably aren't either. But I have heard those scientists say that temperature history in a single location is usually data that is irrelevant to climate change. I can recall ust 30 years ago hearing that even with the most powerful computers of the day...

    Blacking out windows

Dollar Tree has black foam poster board. Great for a temporary light block. If it gets wet though, the black paper covering will peel off. But for just 1$ per piece.

We need to start a movement to legalize the nomadic lifestyle

Your reasons are valid in my view. But sometimes I think it's a new manager at a WalMart that just wants to up the "image" of the store. Or they fear some of the homeless wandering the parking lot scare customers. Old man Walton apparently was the one who wanted the parking lots to be open to...

We need to start a movement to legalize the nomadic lifestyle

"You can be a fulltimer without being a nomad" The only way I see that as possible is if you're "fulltime" in the same place - you never move your RV/van/car you call "home". There aren't many places that let you get away with that - not even in our own driveway or a friend's back 40. Zoning.

We need to start a movement to legalize the nomadic lifestyle

There's a heap of interpretation that goes with that phrase. Pursuing young women to torture, rape and death seems to have made Ted Bundy happy. But it got him the death penalty.

We need to start a movement to legalize the nomadic lifestyle

That's a typical refrain when someone has nothing substantive to say but opposes an issue on a gut level. Please try and bring your grievance specifics to the vocal level if you want to contribute positively to the conversation. If something I've said is unreal, unreasonable or impossible...

We need to start a movement to legalize the nomadic lifestyle

The RV industry's bread and butter are those who can afford to buy a new model every 10 years. Those living in a 20 year model under a bridge just give the industry a bad name as far as they're concerned.  I am not putting all RV nomads in the same bucket. But as you may be aware, this is...

We need to start a movement to legalize the nomadic lifestyle

Details vary by local. But by reading articles, mostly in local papers, the dissatisfaction with long-term campers just outside their city limits is easy to find. And I have found it and posted it here. Unfortunately it almost all gets taken down by mods. And I'm not going through it every time...

We need to start a movement to legalize the nomadic lifestyle

It only takes one incident to send an irate citizen to the city council meeting setting off the storm of fear and hate which results in a series of new laws limiting the rights of both homeless and urban parkers, or rural or wilderness boondockers and what is beginning to be called "residential...

We need to start a movement to legalize the nomadic lifestyle

The campaign against the homeless, including in Seattle is in full swing. Anyone parking in an "industrial" zone is seen by the public, media, law enforcement and politicians as "homeless" and they have it in for you and are taking actions to make you be gone. For example: Seattle is Dying...

We need to start a movement to legalize the nomadic lifestyle

I didn't say all nomads are criminal. To the contrary, I said the bad actions of the few are ruining it for the vast majority of law abiding nomads. Be reasonable. A criminal can realize great advantage by being constantly mobile so their dirty deeds don't catch up tith them. To not see this...

We need to start a movement to legalize the nomadic lifestyle

Your last comment regarding socal areas where it's legal to park overnight. That's the "Safe Parking" program. And you have to apply and be accepted into the program. And there are strictly enforced rules. And many areas are not covered. Probably because local opposition is too strong. Areas...

We need to start a movement to legalize the nomadic lifestyle

It is becoming illegal. And it is being done through politics. And if we "nomadics"don't become "Political", it will be.

We need to start a movement to legalize the nomadic lifestyle

Well, as I state in the post, in most places it is. And the list is shrinking. Another factor I'm afraid is going to hex nomadism is the types of people taking the lifestyle up. It's getting rare to see the kinds of responsible individuals that attend the RTR. A good reason to attend the RTR if...

3M's respnse to VHB tape for mounting brackets on vehicle?

To address your concerns that a panel could come loose and hit a trailing vehicle, drill a hole or two into the more substantial part of the solar panel and attach a steel cable by some secure method. Attach the other end to a substantial part of your vehicle. Then, if the panel comes off, it...

Is there a way to pay someone bondable to transport a Runaway trailer Florida to CA ?

Thanks for all. But those are premium shippers, seeming to specialize in collectors' cars like Model T that require TLC that a small travel trailer would not. And their charges are well above the premium Ruanway charges for a car sold on the West Coast. I've been thinking about finding an auto...

We need to start a movement to legalize the nomadic lifestyle

Let's face it, the only place a nomad can legally park overnight is the very few businesses that give permission and the ever shrinking public land, which is not evenly distributed throughout the country. Nomadics need to take into account society's concerns regarding nomadism providing a...

llaundromats rated as highly germy locations

A less toxic substance to add to your load might be hydrogen peroxide. I'd add a little in the rinse cycle. Or maybe lemon juice. But don't add both. They neutralize one-another's effects.

    Wireless earbuds

I've found wireless listening devices almost always have short battery lives. And I get tired of having to charge the damned things. So I so most of my listening wired. I do occasionally use bluetooth listening devices when I want to listen while I'm up and about and having the cord dangling...

Is there a way to pay someone bondable to transport a Runaway trailer Florida to CA ?

I'm thinking about buying a Runaway trailer. First saw it when Bob did a youtube review at their Florida factory. Can't beat the price and I don't mind the "unfinished" nature of it. Lots of opportunity to DIY. But the cost is over $800 on the west coast. I'd sure like to find some way to pay...
