    Water Bladder Installation

Does it weigh something like 430 lbs?  Where in the suspension is this best to place?

250 sized Van vs 350 sized Van?

Valid suggestions; and btw, I'm going to call carrying more water a mission-critical topic for 100's and 100's of Van Dwellers.  The technical difficulties of having enough water appear to be unsolved or addressed — just an observation.

250 sized Van vs 350 sized Van?

Very good point.  I wouldn't carry it fully filled but for a short distance.  It would allow loitering time to increase, but once again water is crucial and difficult.  Maybe water treatment should be part of the mix on how to extend.  Interesting puzzle.

250 sized Van vs 350 sized Van?

I hope to facilitate remote health care which sometimes starts with washing.

250 sized Van vs 350 sized Van?

What are the pros and cons of getting a 250 sized van vs a 350 sized van?  I do plan on carrying more water by a factor of 8x more than most motorhomes. Many seem to have 10-gallon capacity.

Are any of you worried about autonomous vehicles?

I'm more worried about the dissapearance of the autonomous person; than I am the appearance of the autonomous vehicle.

    Traveling and pain management

Doc; Is it possible the immediate alleviation of financial stress, could remove enough stress to make a life improvement; especially in cases of fibromyalgia?

Newbie here, ... but when young.... I

Thanks to everyone for replies on climate control. This is what I'm thinking: Insulate; and solar on a white van. Move with the cooler temps, try to figure out an electrically driven refrigeration system. Doable with ENOUGH electricity... this is where it gets sketchy for me.

Converting commercial registration to RV for box truck (need actual experience)

My daily driver is a 4WD, and it's not overkill for the rough "roads" of central Arizona.  I hate to give up that mobility. However, now I need the space of a Van for all the reasons so integral to this tribe. Does a 350 sized van have advantages?  Disadvantages?  I'd like to be able to carry...

Newbie here, ... but when young.... I

Thanks for the level-headed encouragement. That's what I was thinking originally...  I guess I got bogged down a bit in details I should just focus on unloading and design.   Why not get a 3500 sized van?  Are there difficulties or expenses in getting something "commercial" classed?

Technomadia has signed onto a PBS show about RVers

I know there can be positives that come from large numbers.  I've seen this phenomenon before, where fame leads to increased attention and scrutiny leads to regulations, fees...etc.

Technomadia has signed onto a PBS show about RVers

Seems like I'm always moving to get OUT of a crowd. I have reservations about nomadic living being "discovered". I had a beautiful hiking spot that got discovered. It became popular. No one will ever see from the now-paved and regulated road; what I saw in 4WD, from the two tracks that...

20 pounds of poop on the street -- is this us?

I also traveled in a station wagon; and preferred sleeping in it rather than a smokey Lysol-ed motel.   When I was doing this, I remember a family member calling to pay for a night in a motel.  This family member was emphatic and appalled. Having to travel, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming,  it was a...

Newbie here, ... but when young.... I

So the COOL thing to do is follow the weather, and be mobile. Consider the movie; "endless summer" from the 70's I saw that movie as a kid; and thought, I'll never have the good fortune to go where I want. Mr. Wells may have shown me a way out into freedom.

    I'm failing at Van Dwelling

Men are better at this?! I doubt it. I've been backpacking and camping in small groups and the ladies do as well as the men, in my view.

    Hello from Ehrenberg

Welcome to Arizona Climate zones Ray.  People all over the world misjudge how freaking cold the desert can be on a clear night.  Tonight is just such a night I think.  Sun will be strong during the day; don't get a sunburn...  and as soon as the sun starts to set.  I'm hoping you are snuggling...
