Seriously considering removing the passenger seat....

Once you get them out just replace them with regular hex bolts at the hardware store. No need for the tool then.

Why is the resale value of Class A's so low compared to Class C's?

Yep- Anything with a chevy motor in it will work. Every drunk here and Mexico can work on it for CHEAP.

Why is the resale value of Class A's so low compared to Class C's?

Just a word of caution, I wouldn't own one if I wasnt a mechanic. The drivetrain is rock solid for 300-400K. BUT little things happen all the time that take a couple hours to fix or make a little piece better that hasn't cost me more then $10.
If you cant fix it your looking at $1,000...

Why is the resale value of Class A's so low compared to Class C's?

-A 2002-2004 isnt cheap they are worth about 8-12K.
-They get good milage because they are light(5K empty) AND because they use a little 2.7L diesel. But to get 28-30mpg you must drive 55-60 MPH with out stop and go, etc, etc.

Why is the resale value of Class A's so low compared to Class C's?

Sprinters all start life as a van and are then converted into whatever you can afford. Mine was just a metal van and we built what we needed. Go through these posts to see: http://3upadventures.com/category/sprinter-van/
<br...

Why is the resale value of Class A's so low compared to Class C's?

For an 07-current sprinter it costs about $20 every 10K miles. (5gal at truck stops are $20-$26)

The mixture (DEF Fluid) is 32.5% synthetic UREA and 67.5% deionized water.

Why is the resale value of Class A's so low compared to Class C's?

Nope. You only need special stuff on the new ones. 2007-current. And they are full of problems! Only buy the first ones 2002-2006. They are simple and even run on tractor diesel. =)

Why is the resale value of Class A's so low compared to Class C's?

These motor homes are NUTS! I get 28-30 MPG out of my Sprinter. But I move around a lot too. Easy to drive, even go's off-road or gravel. And still 6' tall inside!
