Best states for "Home Address" for car registration, driver's license, mailing address, low taxes, and remote working online & taxes?

PMB stands for "personal mailbox". I use a trailer for half the year because of the area I travel in. In the summer I keep a motorcycle in it. The other half I keep it in storage. I will be switching to Texas next year. I am only switching because I work on a boat in Louisiana. I am always in...

    CaptainBuilt’s Adventures!

It's been a while since I've posted anything. I'm full time now. The van was sold. It kept giving me problems. Since then I've built a 12ft box truck. It has a mini split, shower, 1000w of solar, 1120ah of lithium batteries, and on demand hot water.

Wow! This thread took a hard turn..... way off topic. I have a PMB with America's Mailbox in SD. My address that I give CC companies or my employment either just has the # of my PMB, or I use apt# xxxx (PMB #). I never use the "PMB". I have a trailer that I use half the year, and my rig, and...

Thanks! It's a queen bed 60"x80".  I was involved in a real tornado. Talk about scare you to death.  [video=youtube] Finally bought a Fiamma awning. Black awnings are backed up for 6 months. I got a white one, then painted it black.  Having 21 year old van issues. The side door...

Where at on the Ohio? I go up there every now and then. Thanks, sorry for the delay. I got off the boat and took a rental home. No van for a couple weeks. Since I can't work on the van, I might as well brew beer when it's 20 degrees outside. Like any sensible adult would do.

    CaptainBuilt’s Adventures!

Last one for the trip. Back to my stomping grounds, the hairy, twisty, dangerous (most dangerous river in the US for pushboat captains) river. The Tenn-Tom / Black Warrior Rivers. Or what I call home. This is where I usually work. I'll be on here for a week, then back home. Light fog...

    CaptainBuilt’s Adventures!

The next boat I went on is a 4200 hp, 140ft long boat. We were pushing 15 barges from the Upper Mississippi River all the way to New Orleans. I got off in Vicksburg. A 15 barge tow is 2.5 acres of barges. And it's considered a "heavy tow". Even though boats on the Mississippi River can push up...

Next boat I had to catch all the way up in frickin Dubuque, Iowa. 13 hour drive in a rental. Lock 12, where I got on the boat: Some lock at night. Day at another one. I got on at lock 12 and they go all the way to lock 27, soooooo..... I lost track of which one is which. The...

    CaptainBuilt’s Adventures!

After a couple weeks of that, the captain that was supposed to go on the Corp. of Engineers dredge didn't wanna take a COVID test, so I went. It was a small 30ft boat (didn't take pics of it), and we assisted the dredge. The dredge JADWIN was built in 1932 and still works today. We didn't live...

    CaptainBuilt’s Adventures!

I finally went back to work. I've been out here for 8 weeks and I go home Tuesday. I usually only ride 4 weeks at a time, but I had to catch up on some bills. This trip I've been all over creation with this company. 4 different boats, 4 totally different kind of jobs. Sleeping behind a gas...

Hey guys, Sorry it's been so long since posting. I really need to start keeping up with this thread with all the good feedback I get from it. I promise to start updating it as the adventures continue. Here goes a pic heavy post(s). I was laid off for four months. I really didn't go anywhere...

Is Taos area open for boondocking?

You can camp at the rest area at the Rio Grand. Also, lots of area around there too. But I stayed at the rest area for a week with no issues. During the day, local vendors setup little booths for selling local items.

One has half of it knocked off. They have to fix that lol. And that’s Connor McGregor. The famous UFC fighter. The cardboard cut out was to promote his horrible tasting Irish whiskey.
