    truck camper heater upgrade

Agreed - options are good to know about though and many perspectives are all the better. I feel the same on the fuel tax issue and cost for heating - sometimes propane is much more pricey depending on locations. Can carry more fuel than propane. Kerosene is a good possibility but then we're back...

    truck camper heater upgrade

Valid points for sure - maybe I should have said a possible good but expensive alternative for heating. I do not know the reliability of the units but they are old technology as they have been on the world market for many years as you know. I'm thinking propane units have proprietary parts as...

Please take this kindly and laugh with me. You maybe the odd migration bird traveling east to west! All the other birds are north to south or up to down! Maybe a pole shift is occurring and you are more magnetically inclined. :) Sorry it was to good a thought train... Your accomplishing the same...

Good catch tx2sturgis - I sometimes forget what complex is and fail to see how not easy it can be in general. I looked at full disassembly - clean and reassemble and thought I could do it pretty quick with little stress and if I can - so can others... maybe. Then again, maybe more complex than I...

    truck camper heater upgrade

Here is a heating solution that I think is the right answer for small spaces. It's a bit more pricey than a Wave few $100's but it gives excellent outputs depending on model used. Provides dry air with all fumes are being ported outside. If you choose the hydronic model you can also have a hot...

I think it is possible to go on $100/month seems the magic is to have $300 but this all depends on transport. A prius and your covered really well a large Rv not so much. I'm postulating my thoughts on $3.00 /gallon and have been swaying towards a 18 mpg solution to allow as much freedom as...

    Average miles driven per year

Ah-ha! 8 year average of 16K with Alaska, Newfoundland and Pa thrown in - you sure like to see the ends of the continent. I'm thinking this is what I have in my mind - a bit of a trip to somewhere unique once a year then hang around and get to know the place with good weather. I was considering...

I'll make sure to tuck my tail till I figure out who does the potshots. LOL I'm of the mind set of trying to help, causing no harm, life vest inside and make the world a better place by starting with me.

Sounds like some interesting spots and will surly keep my mind active. I love to fish so I'm thinking Fort Peck Dam, Flat Head, Hungry Horse and Koocanusa, and so many smaller ones, plus the many rivers and streams. I like hammock camping as well so those mountain trails sure do call to me.O h...

    Sub Floor Attachment?

Just a thought, look into SikaFlex 252 and scuff metal with sand paper using their primer before applying - water resistant and very strong when cured. It will bond well and is somewhat flexible when cured so it compensates for some expansion. You might be able to get it at Home Depot or Amazon.

    Diesel or not

Over the years I have had a Ford 7.3 F250, MB 300SD, Excursion 7.3 and a Dodge 2500 Cummin's. I myself would steer clear and did of many 6.0 Fords. The turbos and head bolts, warped heads - "fix" only with non- Ford parts where you can is my understanding. From what I took away it's the top end...

You sir, are a free soul! The the thought of circle driving make my head spin - in a good way. :P  I can see how the mileage gets applied with living by the seat of the van. So far you're in the upper end of mileage range. I'm certain some that travel Alaska to Arizona may pack on the mile...

Thank you for sharing - I'm hoping for more woods, water and seclusion. I accept the many different interests people can have and each is a valid as an-other's. I did expect 5K a year and can see with your choices how that now works.  I'm in the North East and my dreams are in Montana and south...

    Average miles driven per year

Thanks - there goes any thought of 6 mpg out the window! 16/17 seems better to wallet. I figured it would be lower and did not think itchy feet traveled that far and wide. 68 miles per day you would be a traveling man - then again a little over an hour on the road. Do you take long trips or...

    Average miles driven per year

I looking towards getting out of the race and finding a way along the trail. I'm considering many options for moving accommodations better know as a rig. With all the possible options out there is a fast difference in fuel mileage ranges going from 6 mpg to 18 mpg. This makes for a big budget...
