    Off Grid Rock Tumbling

This is a great idea!  I've  done a lot of research into this subject---regarding both the power issue and the noise issue, and come to a conclusion.  Since this is our first foray into the realm of full timing, and our first RV (class C), I'm going to hold off on setting anything up for this...

    Off Grid Rock Tumbling

Yup...highdesertranger....that was a shock to the system to realize how long it takes to tumble a handful of rocks.  I think a cabbing machine might take less time, but I think they need lots more power, and they cost more than I can invest.

    Off Grid Rock Tumbling

Hi there!  Does anyone do rock tumbling while boondocking?  If so, what are the power issues?  Is it even possible?  Can it be done using solar power or is it not practical?  I would like to try it when we go full time in September and we will be in the desert southwest.  If anyone is currently...

Quilting and Sewing on the Road

Hi everyone!            I'm a sewer and a quilter.  My husband and I plan to go full time in a Class C in September.  I would like to connect with other quilters and people who sew on the road.  I plan to offer sewing services wherever we boondock, which will probably be the desert southwest...

    Newbies in Spokane Washington!!

Hi OregonDeb!  I assume you're in Oregon?  LOL!  Yup...we like it here in Spokane Valley.  But as we're getting older, the snow is getting to be a tiring thing.  Several years ago, I never would have thought my husband would decide to take to the nomadic life.  But our son and his GF decided on...

    Newbies in Spokane Washington!!

Wow!  Hi Tim and Shirley!  Yes!  I do believe we have lots in common!  As a matter of fact, it might be nice to get to know each other before we head out of here in September.  We are actually located in Spokane Valley.  Not sure where you are, but if you would like we can pick a spot and have...

Full Timing in a Class C with a Crazy Parrot

Thanks so much for your great advice.  The location issue has crossed our minds.  We will be new to full timing, and considered the southwest to be the "Mecca" for so many people in the winter, so perhaps we should head there as well.  BUT.  We got to thinking that maybe there are other areas...

Full Timing in a Class C with a Crazy Parrot

Hi everyone!  It's our hope that there are some of you out there that travel with their parrot.  It's not a conventional pet like a dog or cat, but it's our "last child to leave the nest" (pardon the pun) and after having Salsa for over 15 years, you just don't find another home for your child. ...

Question Regarding Bob Wells' Videos on Youtube

Thanks so much Van DwellerMod!  Another question.  Maybe you can send me the link for this.  I just finished listening to one of his videos called Snowbird Schedule Intro Part #1.  At the end, he mentions that he is going to do a SERIES of videos regarding where to camp for each of the seasons. ...

Question Regarding Bob Wells' Videos on Youtube

Howdy everyone!          My husband and I are going full time in (hopefully) a Class C in September, so we are studying up on RV living as much as possible.  We are listening to as many of Bob's videos as possible on Youtube.  Question:  Are all his videos on this site somewhere or are they all...

    Newbies in Spokane Washington!!

Thanks so much....yup...they are valuable.  We bought our Westie for $9,000 and now it's worth over $20,000.  If not for the sale of it, though, we wouldn't be able to buy the Class C.  VERY bittersweet!!

    Newbies in Spokane Washington!!

Hi Everyone!         Our names are Dan and Elaine.  We are 60 and 62 y/o (respectively) and currently live in Spokane Valley, Washington with our "baby," Salsa, a double yellowhead Amazon parrot.  We rent a house and our lease will be up September 1, so we plan to "go full time" then....mainly...
