    Instagram tax address?

Looking to monetize my instagram and they're asking for my tax address. I have my legal domicile address which I use on my taxes, and a mail forwarder out of state where I have tax documents sent to. They only have space for one address. Has anyone done this? Surely all these van dwelling...

    Breakup on the road?

Has anyone broken up with their partner while living in a vehicle? My partner doesn't know how to drive and has no family to stay with. They can't work or afford rent. It's not like I can just drop them off at a random intersection with a bottle of water and a granola bar and say 'good luck!'...

160 ah batteries only last 1 hr???

I got 4 used 40ah lithium iron phosphate batteries, wired in parallel. 400 watts of solar. During the day, I can run my 100 watt AC freezer without a problem, but about an hour after the sun goes down the battery voltage drops to 10.5. I'm not using any power except the freezer. What could I be...

    rated current vs starting current

I'm in the market for a new inverter to power a vitamix blender. It's rated at 1400 watts, but iirc AC electric motors require significantly more power to start the motor than to keep it running. My question is, does this apply to the vitamix and if so, how much leeway should the inverter have?

    WVO practicality?

I'm thinking about converting a diesel to run on waste vegetable oil but I've heard stories about biodiesel companies making contracts with restaurants preventing us from getting their oil. Does anyone do this as a nomad? Any experienced thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

    Diy breakdown repairs

For those of you who do most of your own repairs, what would you do if you breakdown on the side of the road? Since getting towed to a mechanic means you'll have to spend oodles on labor, where else can you go to do the work yourself? I have a hard time imagining a tow truck driver being willing...

    Massachusetts domicile for health care

TX, FL, SD, and NV are all quite RV friendly states to choose for a domicile. But what about Massachusetts? They have a pretty good state healthcare program called Mass Health. It covers out of state emergencies and it seems that many of us would qualify based on the low income level's I'm...

    Dr. Wireless contact info

I got a Verizon mifi hotspot from Dr. Wireless a while back. Great customer service. The unit broke and he took it back and fixed it and sent it back to me free of charge. Alas it is not working again but none of my text messages are going thru to his number. Does anyone have his current contact...

    Does directional antenna really help?

I'm considering getting rid of my 4g booster from wilson as it doesn't seem to help boost the signal much at all. Before I do, I wanted to ask if adding a directional antenna really makes much difference?

    Adjustable suspension

That's right, I'm talking about hydraulic or air bag suspension systems that gangsters put on their bling cars in the early 2000's. But what if it could be used for practical applications to navigate rocky forest and blm roads? Anyone ever done it? I'm thinking of putting it on my tow vehicle so...

    Escaping a forest fire

How does one go about escaping a forest fire? Do rangers go around all the tiny forest roads with a megaphone on the offchance there's someone camped there? What sort of early warning could you have? It seems like these things can spring up pretty quickly without warning.

Why are so many nomads vegan?

It seems like everywhere you look in the youtube nomad community, there's always someone making vegan recipe videos. I also noticed that many rubber tramps consider themselves to be environmentalists. So I dug down the rabbit hole so to speak and came across this website www.cowspiracy.com/facts...

Ground clearance on Honda Odyssey an issue for boondocking?

The Honda Odyssey has a ground clearance of 4.5 inches, but apparently a good approach angle. Does anyone have any dispersed camping experience with this vehicle? Have you had to pass up prime boondocking locations due to the low GC?

How long before you have to physically be in SD?

*I can't find this info by searching this forum or dmv.org* Suppose I buy a vehicle in some other state and register it through a mail forwarding service in South Dakota without physically being present in the state. How much time can I take to go tramping around the country before I have to...

    Mosquitos: no deet

How do you avoid mosquitos? I really don't want to get bitten because it gives me hives for months afterward.  I don't want to use deet, thermacell, permethren, or other toxic chemicals. And I don't want to zap them with those electric tennis racket things. I'd like to use the natural repellents...

Make ice in 110v mini freezer?

I'm toying with the idea of getting a 1 cubic foot freezer, an inverter (which I need anyway), and a couple of coolers. This way, I can make ice in the freezer, shut it off, put the ice in the coolers and thereby save money on 12 volt compressor coolers and have more room without having to buy...
