I'm here N 33° 35.383 W 114° 28.829 in a small light blue SUV.

Last RTR the tent I brought needed 16 stakes to stand. After pounding in four, I decided to find some pillowcases from a thrift store. Those I filled with rocks and put them inside the tent around the edges. The tent stood the entire time, even when it stormed.

Amazing that there was room for a spinning wheel! Some drop spindles would have packed better, and been used while traveling. Maybe someone was using the wheel while the wagon was in motion.

I dashed off early this morning to get some dental work done. A temporary crown fell off over the weekend. Since the temperature in the valley is expected to be in the 90s I hope to be back by tonight or tomorrow.

Most recently I make Norwegian Egg Coffee. It takes no special equipment and is not at all bitter. Put your grounds in a pot, crack and egg, add a little cold water and mix. Add more water and boil 3-10 minutes. Turn off the heat and add some cold water. Let it sit until the coffee omelette...
