Considerations when traveling solo with animals

As I mentioned in a reply to a post on this topic, traveling with pets is very limiting for those of us who imagined we could explore when we embarked upon this lifestyle. Many state and national parks don't let you hike with dogs, you are a slave to the weather (in warmer months) unless you are...

To Pet, or Not to Pet? Pros and Cons, please!

This thread is stale but I still want to throw in my two cents worth. I have been full-timing for only 3 weeks and chances are good that I am going to quit very soon. Why? Because I am traveling with a dog and a cat and that, as others have already stated, can be very limiting. Plus, while I try...

    A year fulltiming - what we’ve learned.

I have to agree that a van is going to probably be too cramped for two people, esp with the wheelchair. I just started traveling in my Class B 19' Pleasure-Way (which is about the same in interior space as a van conversion) and wiith my small dog and cat and only one human (me), I feel cramped...

Battery charge when sun goes down

LOL. I am as confused as ever. But it's all good - part of the learning process. Thanks for all the input!

Battery charge when sun goes down

Install was in November 2017. I assume the installer knew what he was doing but I'm no expert or I would have done it myself.  Thanks for your suggestion-I'll probably screw something up if I do it myself, but I might get someone better at this than I to try the test you suggest.

Battery charge when sun goes down

Thanks Trebor English. That seems like an easy test to perform.

Battery charge when sun goes down

Thanks for the replies! Getting back to my original question, what I understand from the replies is that my controller display is not giving me an accurate and/or complete reading so my concern that the display shows 100% full battery in the day dropping as soon as the sun goes down is not...

Battery charge when sun goes down

Thanks so much for your reply John. I am getting the read off the controller display (Renogy Rover 40 amp MPPT) I am not as concerned about the 100% showing as I am about the drop in percentage (at least as far as the controller display tells me) when the sun goes down. From your reply, I...

Battery charge when sun goes down

Hi All. My apologies if this has been asked elsewhere - there is a lot going on in this subject and I couldn't possibly browse through them all.  :s I have 300 watts of solar on top, 2 AGM Deep Cycle 6V 200 AH batteries, & MPPT controller. (Also a power inverter but it has been in the off...

Money Making Opportunity for All Campers

Just to follow up on my particular situation. I have reached out to a few local "handy man" types and they don't seem knowledgeable about the things I would like done on my Class B. The shops that do RV remodels etc in town are booked weeks out and expensive. I am a host on Boondockers Welcome...

Money Making Opportunity for All Campers

Love this idea and thanks for putting up the Excel WS. I was searching for the same thing and that is how I stumbled upon this thread. I, too, just bought a new (to me) van, well a 1995 Pleasure-Way and have been overwhelmed by all there is to learn and do. I want to replace the toilet with a...

I'm So Excited; OMG What Am I Getting Into

Hi Everyone,   After many years following CRVL, even going to a couple of RTRs in my car, and watching YT channels about van living instead of watching Netflix, I decided it was now or never. I then spent months deciding what type of RV I wanted and then more months looking for the right one at...
