    Comfortable Mattress for 66yr old?

We love our Tuft and Needle. I am 55 and my husband is 62. You order online, but you can return for free during the 100 day trial. Pricey, but worth it to us! And you can cut it down because it is foam. Airstream is using Tuft and Needle mattresses in their new RV, The Nest.

    Thanks for the reply, Cyndi!

    Location for RTR?

I see on the website that the location is still TBA.  It’s less than a month before the gathering and I would like to make plans with my smaller tribe.  Any idea when we will know the coordinates?

    Many Conflicting Thoughts

I’m 55 and your thread has been very helpful in supporting my decision to travel during the Tucson summers, whether or not my husband will join me. If your travels bring you close to Tucson, message me and I can show you around/or join you for a couple of days boondocking in a wilderness area...

Windows or No Windows? Your preference?

I keep to warmer climates and love our limo tinted windows. I can see out, but folks can’t see in unless they press up to the glass. I use reflectix for more privacy at night.

Women Only: Wardrobe what have you learned!

Minimalist here! I have about 10 tops and 6 prs of pants, total. Three dresses. Plus underwear, pajamas and outdoor clothing. I wear mostly washable merino wool and linen clothes with a few items made of recycled polyester. All easy to hand wash and they dry quickly on a line, since I hate...

    Homemade Dry Shampoo Recipes

I have short hair and spray my hair with full-strength vinegar, wait 30 seconds and then use a microfiber towel to absorb the oil/dirt.

    Which AAA membership level

I got Premier AAA and have used it 3 times this year, with 2 different vehicles. Definitely has paid for itself! Dead battery, and two flat tires were the issues. They showed up in less than an hour in all cases. Super efficient and friendly, too. Keep in mind you are limited to 4 call outs...

    Kodiak discussion

ps The lightweight Predator solar panels I purchased are not currently listed on the Inergy website, so I am not sure if they are still available. I am waiting to hear back from the company.

    Kodiak discussion

I own a Kodiak and have used it on 7 camping trips, including 9 nights at the 2018 RTR. (I am a part-timer). I camp in a 2002 low roof Sprinter, which has a minimal, modular build-out. We wanted to keep everything portable, since we weren’t sure if we would do a full build-out on our starter...

Why are so many nomads vegan?

I’m a semi-nomadic Carnivore and and Ancestral Nutrition Coach. I have certainly met a few plant-based folk on the road, mostly the younger ones. Whe I was 18 I became a whole foods, ovo-lacto vegetarian for fourteen years and got very sick and depressed. Found out later I was unable to...

I've never introduced myself + a unique proposal if anyone is interested...

Hi Lori, If you can’t find someone here, there are car delivery websites that match up people who do this. I live in Tucson and am interested, but can’t do it until the fall and I would need a plane ticket home, plus fuel reimbursement to make it viable. PM me, if you wish to discuss! I...

    Airkrete concrete insulation

I haven’t used it, but from looking at the tech specs, it seems too friable to deal with the vibration from being on the road.

    WOMEN ONLY!!! Female Urination Devices

I simply use a yellow wide mouth Nalgene bottle when I want simplicity. It’s light, discreet to empty, has an attached lid and the opening is sufficient.

    Carado Axion Class B

Nice! I checked out the Axion, but I prefer the Hymer Aktiv layout for our pack of 2 adults and 2 dogs. “WeretheRussos” have a YouTube channel with a couple of walk-thrus/reviews of he Acktive, if you are interested. They live in theirs full-time.

I think I get the "woman only thing"

It may seem a weird thing to some, but many women have been patronized and talked down to (or yelled at) by men when asking questions and a women-only forum is designed to be a safe space for those who need it. It’s hard to trust or learn from men if you still have trauma from being treated...
