    Lolita is home!

She's still a shuttle bus so tomorrow I work on making her a little more cozy.

Thinking about buying 2002 chevy conversion van w 220,000 miles. What would you do?

I would too! The price is right and it gets you on the road. It's possible to over think this.

Not there yet, but the spark has been lit

Welcome! Hopefully we can fan the spark into a flame. [emoji3]

    I think I just bought a bus!

318,000 on it now but he just had all new injectors put in. He was using it for a party bus and taking people to ball games. He just doesn't have time anymore. I most likely will remove the wheel chair ramp. I may put in a big window there and use the back section of the bus for my pet grooming.

    I think I just bought a bus!

Well the big bus fell through. Now I think I have got this one. It's only 2 hours away and I can go pick it up tomorrow or the next day. For 1/3 the price of the Beastie from Colorado. 2004 International 3200 Shuttle Bus, 24 PASSENGER BUS, 23,500# GVW, AIR BRAKES, DT466 DIESEL ENGINGE 215 HP...

I mean liters. Three 16.9 liter bottles of water just like the original post said.

    Getting close, getting nervous!

Yeah... apparently I am not going to make it out this week. Two buses so far that won't be mine. Thursday I'm going to go look at a shuttle bus. I'm pretty frustrated but I suppose since I've already made it two years full time in this shitty little mini van a little bit longer won't be the...

    I think I just bought a bus!

Not yet. Still waiting on the check to clear. In the meantime he gave me the news that he was reposting it and I haven't had any luck getting a ride. All is well and apparently the bank said to call Thursday around noon to see if it cleared. Apparently the pinhead teller that opened the account...

Must travel trailers stop at truck weigh stations?

This entire conversation is a grey area. I'm sure that in the future with enough converted school buses out there the states Will see that they are missing out on opportunity to get more revenue but until then we all can just keep tossing out opinions and theories. I was just trying to help.

    Women Only: Washing

Three times 16.9. For me the small bottles are easier to handle then trying to pour a gallon jug over my head.

    Getting close, getting nervous!

It seems every time I have everything figured out some douchebag decides to be a... douchebag. I finally found another woman nomad that has hung up her traveling pants and she's selling me her bus. And as far as I know I get on a train Thursday and go pick up my new home. For all of you on the...

    Getting close, getting nervous!

I was planning on staying still to do some more work but I'm beginning to see that as just an excuse. It's time to fledge. I imagine given a choice most of us would stay still and deal what crap comes up. This for me is no different then Sunday night having to leave the comfort of a non moving...

    Getting close, getting nervous!

I leave in 5 days. I'm freaking out too. I've been houseless for two years but I haven't traveled since April. I too am freaking out.

    Women Only: Washing

I totally do all of my showering outside of my van. I use two gallons of water a day for a shower.Sometimes if it's super hot I rinse off throughout the day in addition to the shower. I wash my hair separately using three 16.9 liters of water in the plastic bottles. I don't do this everyday. It...

    Stealthy shuttle bus tips?

Just be polite and don't over stay your welcome. Stealth is not necessary unless you intend to thwart authority. Not really my goal in the nomad lifestyle. Peaceful coexistence.

Anyone for a road trip? Illinois to Denver 9/29

I need to get a ride from Illinois to Denver. I have an old dog and I need to pick up my new ride. I will pay fuel and expenses. Serial killers need not respond.

    Dual fuel 18,000 watt generator

Exactly! And that is about what I charge. Sometimes more, sometimes less. It's all depending on the customer and the dog. Water isn't really an issue either as I use a recirculating bather and very low sudsing organic shampoos. The entire process takes less than ten gallons depending on how much...

    Dual fuel 18,000 watt generator

I'm not sure I made myself clear. I am using the coach for my home and my business. Actually I will probably run it more than four hours a day. I was just trying to figure out how to come up with "quiet time" so I could be a good neighbor. Also I'm not really sure of the size of the generator or...

Needing help for disabled trailer build

I'm sure there is someone there that can help but worse case scenario just get your trailer loaded up and head out. There is really nothing you need to build. Take a look at Bob's YouTube page and you can see there are people doing it with less than anyone imagined they could. Also check out...
