Firebox stoves

I really didn't ask for anything from Santa, but he insisted and got me one of these stoves. I'm liking the idea of using it as a stove while boondocking. Anyone familiar with these?

<img rel="lightbox"...

    Some like it hot

I love hot sauce! One of my favorites is the Tabasco habanero flavor. It's got plenty of kick but is still tasty. I can put hot sauce on just about anything. I am all for trying new variations. Whats yours?

    Cameras/ Photography

Being that space in a van is at a premium, I see photography sparking my interests as a worthwhile and gratifying hobby . My grandfather had a passion for this and I remember viewing all his work through slides at the family gatherings. He even had his...

    What do you sleep with?

I am finding that sleeping cowboy style works best for me. I use two wool blanket's one under and one over. I have a third if I need it. I was using sheets but that was such a pain to make up every day I gave up.

Wondering if a sleeping bag might work better?

    Beaded Curtains

Is anyone using beaded curtains to separate the driving area from the living quarters? I think these would work well during the day when I don't want to use my privacy curtains. When I close my privacy blinds it is pitch dark!

I...

    Air Fresheners

I entered the van the other day and was hit with a funky smell I guess from the dirty laundry, cooking, eating and just plain living odors will accumulate. The odor went away after a...

    Oatmeal

"It's what's for breakfast" at least in my world. I have been consuming oatmeal for about 6 months straight and I haven't gotten sick of them yet. I cook the "Old Fashion" oats and seem to prefer them over the instant (yuck) or the steel...

    Musical instruments

I have played the guitar and the bass (not very well) in the past but will not have room for instruments of that size. I ended up buying a Native american flute and drum because of there size and because I enjoy the sounds. Music has always been a part of my life and music seems to...
