Going to Grand Canyon South rim for winter was contemplating a 100# propane tank.  Would have to transport in back of truck on its side due to gooseneck.  any thoughts, was told once that tank wpuld leak.

Don't know if you have horse traveled in the west but one thing to aware of is that your hay has to be certified weed free.. Also if your horse is picky on water get some mint extract in cake section of grocery and add several drops on top of water before leaving home and do so while you travel...

US 90 does provide better scenery then you get on I-10 again to go through El Paso.. Timing does matter going thru large cities..

From Tulsa why not take I35 S from OKC to I 20 in Ft Worth to I 10 across to RTR..
