    RV Travel buddy/ RV rideshare

A suggestion for finding a better fit... find a trusted person, good friend or compatible relative first. Plan a short trip, rent an rv or van together, and go off on your adventure.

My God, It's Full of Stars!

How about a C90 on a sturdy camera tripod?  If you know your sky, an altaz mount with handle is the easiest and most versatile cruise.  Out in the dark skies,  even a 60mm will show amazing sights. My favorite is a classic Swift 818, 60mm F9 , fitted with a 1.25 focuser . I'm going have to late...

The logistics of buying an expensive used vehicle

Personal checks come with a toll free number to the issuing bank. You can call it in the buyers presence to verify available funds.

    Living out of a Semi

I used to have a customer who drove otr , and on his weeks off,  pulled his van out of storage and lived in it. He seemed to stay local on his time off. A good deal of consideration is in order to take on any version of a nomadic life. This is a great place to learn from those who have traveled...

    Overcoming fear

I'm thinking to start my journey on sort of a "vacation" . Stay at a familiar campground for a few days, and wander away from there. First night will be scary anyhow. Maybe it will be time to get a cat.

    Spiritual community

If one's beliefs hold that God is everywhere, and we are all brothers and sisters in the Spirit,, fellowship should be easily found  wherever we go. A friend of ours spent a year or so going to every denomination of Christian church fellowship in his moderate sized city. Despite style...

How to wash and wax a 10 foot High Roof Van?

How about a park with a sturdy wood picnic table. You could pull up alongside the bench early in the morning, wax on, and break out the bacon and eggs before anyone was the wiser. Shwiffer mops are lightweight, and if you pinned a couple of microfiber towels in them, make for easy car washing...

Hello from Me and my Trolley

The trolley is adorable Emily! Such a grand home. I could imagine the wheelchair lift flipped out with canopy, lace curtains, an iron filigree grille and a tiny bistro table, like a French apartment balcony. Perfect for the morning latte! Don't mind me, I'm still vanless , but have been...

What did you name your van?

What great names. My ideas for a name project my dreams on a yet-to-be-acquired van. But you all have realized what I did not, that each home on wheels has its own quirks and personality. Thank you Vesper

Hanging cabin curtains in a minivan?

A sturdy shower curtain rod should fit across a minivan just above and behind the back seat. No mounting hardware, held in place by pressure against the sidewalls. 1.25" cafe clip rings can work with any hemmed fabric. I have hung such across an apartment hallway, very sturdy and easy.
