Unfortunately, I think my van model is too new to find used replacement doors. The OEM replacements would cost about $650-700 shipped. And I don't see an option to order just the glass. The windows are bonded so I guess that makes sense...
Is there a US source for these that you know of? :D
My van is also a rebranded Fiat Doblo. Have tried looking for options to get imported but haven't come up with anything.
Thanks! I'm not really interested in using it with a screen anyway. Looking at sailboat windows now. They all look kinda boat-y though. Not sure I can frame wood either since it's a sliding door with not much clearance in between the door and van body :-/
At some point I'd like to install windows on the dual sliding doors of my lil Promaster City cargo van. I regret not purchasing and converting a passenger version of my vehicle, but life goes on (and I got a decent deal). Now, the window is a bit of an irregular size. ~72.5 cm wide on the top...
Doing some more research and have a question about vapor barriers. You mentioned cork flooring is designed to float on top of a vapor barrier with space and trim. Is a vapor barrier always necessary for installing flooring such as cork or vinyl plank in a van? If I'm understanding you correctly...
Thanks for the tips! I think, from your description, that going with cork might be slightly more work than I'm interested in. It sounds like fickle stuff. For my walls I am planning on putting up plywood and painting it white. Do you reckon the marine enamels would work well for that application...
Roger that! Hmm not sure which openings you're referring to? But if you mean the black molded plastic near the sliding doors, well, that houses some sort of electrical sheath with wires etc (and yes it's below the main floor). It's pretty odd. Haven't decided whether to pull the plastic covers...
Looking to put some flooring down in my mini-camper (currently gutted). It's a newer model 2015 Ram Promaster City so there's no rust in sight however the paint on the floor has been scratched quite a bit by the previous owner. Is it necessary for me to prep this floor prior to laying down some...
Thanks! Here's where I'm at so far... it's not much compared to my last build, but it's got all that I need. Really just looking to make it more home-y and have some extra time, space, and money on my hands at the moment :P
Hey guys, Migrating here from the vandwellers subreddit since I feel like it's gone downhill a bit. Having trouble getting much help from people there these days and encountering a lot of bad attitudes in general. So I figured I might give this forum a shot instead!
