Just arrived in Quartzsite this evening (11/17)

I had to leave Quartzsite for a bit. I got myself good with a box cutter and I'm healing up before I come back for RTR. Looking forward to finally meeting some of you though.

Hi Ms. Daisy, We are also two females traveling together so feel free to join us (not that males aren't welcome). I'll PM you my number and you can message us when you arrive. We'd also be happy to send GPS coordinates of where we are on Tuesday or meet you at the pilot truck stop. Let us know...

"Harriette" 2003 Chevy Express 1500 Conversion

We've arrived in Quartzsite! If anyone is around  this area and would like to meet up let me know. Here is a little preview of a modification we've made on the road. We added some decorative storage to the walls using colorful tea containers that we kept from our apartment. We also anchored...

Yes. We are aware of the limit. We're planning on staying for a few days then heading to Cali and returning again for RTR. Just letting people know we're around and friendly is all.

Just arrived in Quartzsite this evening (11/17)

We arrived in the dark and are parked somewhere within the BLM land that this year's RTR Meetup will be. We're going to be wandering around once it's light out.  PM me if you're interested in meeting up and you're nearby. We're in a 2003 Chevy Express with Texas plates, a MaxxFan and solar. ...

"Harriette" 2003 Chevy Express 1500 Conversion

Hello Again, Everyone!! Sorry we sort of fell off the face of the Earth. We moved into Hariette on the 27th of August and have been extraordinarily busy with our travels and upgrades since. We've made it from Austin TX to Grand Canyon National Park AZ since I last posted. We've done so much...

We we're sad to miss the meeting up too. We're living in the van full time now and loving it(pictures soon, promise). We plan on traveling outside of Austin as of October. Let us know what your travel plans are once your build is complete. We wouldn't mind meeting you somewhere.

Just learned from a few other responses that I don't require equalizing because I have 12v 200ah AGM sealed battery.

Also, if I were to incorporate shore charging what equipment would you recommend? Please include all necessary items. I've yet to research shore power and need the info. Thank you!!

This may be a dumb question but will my charge controller go into an equalizing phase on it's own every month or so I need to set that up?

Thanks for tuning in for our build. To answer your questions: - The van is a V6 and we took a long trip recently to Tennessee and back with Nicole, myself, two other passengers and our supplies. The van did pretty well on gas. Over 1800 miles and we filled up from a half tank about 4 times each...

That 100% screen is an indicator of what percentage of the panels are receiving any form of light, being overcast or direct full sun. At least that's what renogy says. The only way to get a read for the capacity of the battery it with a trimetric meter. We are just depending on the voltage reads...

Yes! We plan on dumping into the nearest porta potty or bathroom. We have planet fitness memberships so we will have access to a public restroom every so often. We are going to use a nalgene bottle as they are nearly impossible to break and just clean it out.

I've also included a picture of where my van is parked and of the weather conditions when I took all the photos. Also, I have no loads connected to the charge controller, only to the battery.  Please let me know if anything looks strange.

Just so I can get some feedback on what my actual read outs are, here are the screens on my charge controller as I flip through:

For the most part. I still am a bit nervous about using the inverter for long durations of time. I don't really have a way of knowing how charged the battery truly is. I've noticed that it almost immediately goes into float stage. I can't tell if it's getting a full charge or not.

Thanks for all the compliments! We are starting Vanlife in 3 DAYS!!! We've got a bit more work to do so we're cramming it all in as fast as we can. I'll be sure to make a final post when the van is complete. we intend on doing a little van tour video that we'll post on youtube as well. Keep...

This is my thread. I was originally inquiring about my renogy charge controller but this is all good info I'm taking in.

The screen with the 100% is not the battery capacity indicator it actually just informs you of the percentage of panel that is actively taking in energy. AKA full sun vs. partial.
