Newbie weekender question about starter kit!?!

Ahhhh... good to know! AGM battery can go all the way down to 20% charge? VS a about a 50% before needing a recharge for a lead acid? So i could get AGM with less Amp hours correct? In the long run that may be best... but again, don't know if charging those are way different then charging...

Modern SUV's are terrible for sleeping cargo!!!

I was wrong! I found my ride! A FORD FLEX! It's too small for some perhaps but honestly way better then almost all the SUV's i saw... like a modern Limo meets Big Mini Cooper or something. 17 feet long... love it~! Anyhow so stoked... 2nd row folds forward into the front seat in what i call...

Modern SUV's are terrible for sleeping cargo!!!

I keep reading that the Ford Explorer works. People camp in them. Smaller then the Expedition but seats fold flat. 6 feet length clearance. Also the Expedition seats according to the manual does fold flat. Need to look deeper into that. Okay good. Finally might make this happen...

Modern SUV's are terrible for sleeping cargo!!!

I am kinda afraid of a van that old, not too mechanical so i prefer a 2000 or newer.  I actually really like the astro vans but most of the ones i saw were kinda junky and old with tons of issues... the people in our area sell the good ones 2002 - 2005 with low miles for WAY over blue book...

Wonder if the year I saw was different? Love that rig but second row doesn't go flat. Hmmmmm 2007? Is there a trick to dropping them? There is a great deal in town but I passed due to seats.

Modern SUV's are terrible for sleeping cargo!!!

At first I was on the hunt for a van for weekend expeditions, vacation living but also for daily driver in the city. I finally decided they were too big for everyday use in a city. Since this is a 5 year practice run for my actual living in a vehicle time.  My next search switched to looking...

What matters most, Age? Or Miles?

I Saw the 05 Astro today... what in the world is with all the vans in the NW that have really bad leaks in them? SOAKED WET CARPET in 5 out of 7 used vans that i have seen in and around Seattle! So... again, it looks great on the outside, engine looked fantastic, pink tranny fluid, oil looked...

What matters most, Age? Or Miles?

:) Hey gang, Say for example You found a 2005 van with 155K miles and in general real good condition, the other option was a 2000 but with 110k miles in seemingly very similar condition. Prices close enough to not be a huge difference. What would you prefer? The older with lower miles? Or the...
