    Thanksgiving in ???

Hello out there! Anyone getting together for Thanksgiving? We went Ehrenberg a couple of weeks ago down by the Colorado looking for people to hang out with and stayed a few days. Very nice spot. But no one was there but us. So we decided it was way too soon and headed for Joshua Tree and hiked...

How do I find BLM land? Where is your favorite and why?

Thank you! Just what I wanted to hear! Very accessible. Down by the river sounds nice. My husband should like that. We'll try it. Appreciate your input!

How do I find BLM land? Where is your favorite and why?

Hey Bob, We're going to be arriving in Ehrenberg this week and I'm wondering what the road is like in and out of there. We've been to some desert boondocking lately that's nothing but ruts and sand and my husband's not happy with me! (He doesn't want to get stuck) Any info would be appreciated!

    DETOURS

Thanks MrNoodly and rvPopeye I will look at all those options on the map and figure out which one will work best. Couldn't stand driving in Phoenix when I lived in Mesa 15 yrs ago. I can't imagine what it's like now!

    DETOURS

Anyone know a way around Phoenix? Or do I just have to suck it up and drive through it to get to Quartzsite?

Ok so yesterday we got to Northern New Mexico to escape the heat. Last night it went down to 27 degrees!! That's overkill! Colder than Michigan for sure. Lol We wanted cooler and we got it!

From MI. It's not unheard of for a hard freeze in October, but not the usual either. Sounds like it's time to break out the long johns! Running away from the freezing winters. Looking forward to not shoveling snow!

Yes I love the heat but Jerry hasn't gotten used to it yet and can't take it. Back in MI we'd be starting to get cold weather by now. Glad to be out of that! No more harsh winters for me! Yay!

    Roasting

Sounds great for me but hubby needs it a bit cooler for now. I think he'll do better once he gets used to the heat. From MI so not used to hot weather! Where is Cottonwood? I'm not familiar. Thanks!

    Roasting

Me too. But it's been 85 - 90. I'm pretty good with heat having lived in the SW in the past. But my husband is not. 72 to 80 is what I'm looking for. Perfect!

    Roasting

Yes, thanks. We're headed north again, take 2 days because we don't do a lot of miles in a day. Still boiling mid state.

    decisions

Being a woman, all I can say is, Yikes! My husband and I are recently retired and new full timers with a van and a small trailer. We have solar, a potty and shower, fridge and tiny cooker and I still sometimes feel like a pioneer woman. If you want her to still be there when you return from your...
