    Car Market is INSANE Now!

It truly is wild! Still to this day. I wonder if this is the new normal. A simple van or even a 13 year old prius with 150k+ miles on it is going for a premium in these markets. I wish I had snagged a new rig in 2019 before everything went crazy. Weird times we are living in. Hope everyone...

Back at it again! Maybe a Class A this time?

Thank you all for your feedback regarding Camping World. I have decided not to go with them because of their terrible reviews, as well as their ridiculous fees associated with purchasing from them. Does anyone have an recommendations for finding a good deal on a used motor home besides RV...

Back at it again! Maybe a Class A this time?

^ Thanks for the head up! I now have my eye on this one: https://rv.campingworld.com/rvdetails/used-class-a-rvs/1999-damon-daybreak-2960-front-living-10k-GKY1587574 I made them a cash offer below asking price, out the door, and am waiting to hear back. They go over all appliances and make...

Back at it again! Maybe a Class A this time?

Thanks for your input! I am very handy (in my opinion lol). The only things I would not feel up to doing is water damage repair. I am comfortable resealing and caulking the roof and doing all Thank you I appreciate that information! Unfortunately I have no way of moving a 5th Wheel. Just a...

Back at it again! Maybe a Class A this time?

] Hey Chip, Thanks for your input! I am very handy (in my opinion lol). The only things I would not feel up to doing is water damage repair. I am comfortable resealing and caulking the roof and doing all sorts of basic maintenance. Sometimes it is very satisfying work to know you fixed an issue...

Back at it again! Maybe a Class A this time?

That sounds sort of like what I am looking for for that price range, maybe I will get lucky in a different way than someone else's misfortune. Except a tad smaller in length. I feel that the shorter Class A's are the most desired, which explains why there are harder to come by! I am a patient...

Back at it again! Maybe a Class A this time?

The listing ends today at some time I believe. But, I have chosen to pass. After speaking with some other full time friends, they think if I hang on a little longer I will find something a little newer with similar or less miles for even less expensive than $14,000. Only time will tell! :)

Back at it again! Maybe a Class A this time?

It has been awhile since I have been these forums. I don't remember if sharing outside links are aloud, but I will post the listing so you can view it and give me your two cents. I do think the asking price is a little high and would negotiate it i like it. I am going to view it tomorrow morning...

Back at it again! Maybe a Class A this time?

Hello friends and family! I hope you have all been doing well. I have been off grid and MIA for the past year or so but as the weather warms up I am looking to upgrade my living situation yet again.  I am highly considering a Class A now that I am more stationary and have the room for it, but...

Haha that play set looks like an old abandoned house. SPOOOKY!

Now I've gone and done it!

I think you made a good call passing on that. If the owners wouldn't hesitate to slapp cheap used tires on it who knows what other cheap fixs have been done! Good luck with your hunting!

    Question about Travel Trailer refrigerator

Oh wow. Lots of info thank you everyone for your replies. I have been doing lots of research and it seems like I have a few options. 1. Keep an all electric fridge, and build a beefy solar system and battery bank. 2. Purchase a more energy friendly compressor fridge like a dometic and have...

    Question about Travel Trailer refrigerator

Oh well that might work in my favor then! I would like to be able to have it on constantly and not have to keep track of propane levels to rely on my fridge working.  I will have to research solar and see how large of a battery bank/ how many watts I will need to keep a fridge like that...

    Question about Travel Trailer refrigerator

Good to know! Thank you for explaining that to me. Any rough estimate of how long I could last off a 20lb propane tank running a small TT fridge? I am trying to plan out if I should save for a large solar setup, or just use it only on propane for the most part if it does not use lots of propane.

    Question about Travel Trailer refrigerator

This is one I saw earlier. I could not tell because in the add it says "electric fridge"  There are probably 20 different ones I saw on RV trader that say that. So I was unsure. Previously I thought that all travel trailers would come with at least a 2 way fridge.  ...

    Question about Travel Trailer refrigerator

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well! I am looking at a few travel trailers and I have a question about the refrigerators that come installed on them. Most of the trailers I have been looking at have electric refrigerators. And I do not see any mention of propane. Is that normal? If...

Changing my ways, from VAN to TT!

Thank you everyone for your wonderful advice! My Escape does have a transmission cooler already installed. I met a gentleman today that tows a small 16 or 17 foot trailer with his escape. it seemed just the perfect size! He said dry weight is about 2,400 pounds. He packs very lightly and said...

Changing my ways, from VAN to TT!

Thank you for your reply! I have put some thought into the various options. And I am scared of having another engine to maintain, and am unsure of the reliability of a used motor home within my price range! I usually travel a very similar route, I like to prospect for gold around Georgia, and go...

Changing my ways, from VAN to TT!

Thank you very much for the advice. I am moving from a camper van to a hopefully small travel trailer. I would ideally like to stay in the 16-18ft range for this reason, I feel anything larger will be too much. My goal is to be as close to 1k under my max tow weight as possible (and also under...

Changing my ways, from VAN to TT!

Great opinion, I really appreciate it. I do understand my tow vehicle is marginal, and I would not hesitate to make the necessary upgrades to have peace of mind. I will check some forums out and do my research. Thanks!
