My poor brother was finally released Tuesday afternoon about an hour after I left him. I did not know he was so close.

I have a 200ah LiFePO house battery, and it's never come close to running it down. I usually don't run it at night however, just in the afternoon.
For me, the O2 Cool didn't cut it, but YMMV.
I have a regular household Vornado fan. (This one - https://www.vornado.com/shop/made-in-usa/circulators/610-medium-air-circulator) They make a lot more models now, but I am happy with this one. Moves a lot of air. Much more than any USB fan I've ever tried. It's also better than any box fan...
Some doctors are great with end-of-life situations. But cancer doctors - well, IME, they are highly just-fix-it-oriented folks, and it's on to the next in hopes they can help that one. It's their nature I think.
Hospice in a nursing home in this case means there is a special contractor who...
Realized it's been forever since I posted anything about my situation.
My brother is still hanging on. About a month ago, he had a hospital admission due to throwing up "coffee grounds", which is a sign that blood was in his stomach. I was taking a break in Tehachapi when I got the call...
Just sayin - there are at least a couple of places on the web where you can buy a custom poly tarp. I've never ordered one myself, so I have no idea how the service (or the price) is, but it is another option.
They do this on NF land just south of Prescott (or maybe it's Flagstaff?) where the city limits are right up against the NF boundaries. It is definitely necessary there, it can be a real zoo on weekends. Dunno the Colorado area in question, whether they are actually trying to protect the...
Well, if they do fly off in traffic (hard for me to imagine), they are not expensive and are easily replaced!
My home base is the PNW, and I just love driving with my windows cracked in the rain, while no rain gets inside...
I'm curious - why would you not want them permanently installed? Previous owner of my van installed them, and nearly 5 years later, I still think they're the cat's pajamas.
As far as I can tell, mine are on for the duration.
Let's not forget the ones closer to home, who work on our vans and charge nothing for their time and knowledge. That's also a ministry, and you don't have to be ordained to do it!
I think it all works out... Amazon recently delivered an order of mine to a wrong address - driver reported s/he delivered it to a residence - my address here is a UPS store in a strip mall! I got my money back, and presumably some random stranger got my stuff.
Here's a second on Big Agnes bags. I have one where the zipper runs down the middle of the bag. This is VERY handy when you are sleeping on a bed that is against the wall - it doesn't matter if my van is on a slant, I can sleep with my head at whichever end is higher and still easily get out of...
If you need to make a quart of coffee at a time, the AeroPress is not for you! But if you don't need a quart - the AeroPress made the best coffee I have ever made, one cup at a time. Smooth and not a bit acidic.
Alas, I can no longer drink coffee...
I've never done this - can't drink coffee anymore :(. But you could make your coffee bags with your favorite ground coffee. Google up "empty tea bags".
The sealed Biodome turned out not to be completely self-sustaining, IIRC.
Very interesting tour, recommended if you are ever out that way. It is still being used for various research projects.
