    Police scanner

Most police channels are encrypted now days. You will probably not be able to listen to very many only ones with old technology.

Only have a Sedan. So what about a tent?

As others have said nylon tents don't offer much as far as insulation or durability. I used to camp a lot by the ocean and wind so I would buy Walmart tents, save the box and receipt, then exchange it when the wind blew it up and broke a pole. The taller your tent is the more weak it will be in...

You can get a small car charger/inverters for $15-$20 that work great for what you are talking about.

    Nomadland (film)

Yeah like, Marketing, creating Consumer Demand and... $$$$$ I will have to put this film on the way more then I will pay to watch. I have seen a few decent "independent"(not sure what that means anymore..?) film trailers but then they lock up the video and demand $20-$30 for it. Seems to be the...

Better states to find a lower price van for sale?

A lot of people do not report the damage and do a massive cleaning. I would be suspicious of anything from Huston or close to the coast and anything be sold thru low grade dealers. You can look for spots that were missed in the cleaning, pull the seat belts all the way out and see if the have...

Better states to find a lower price van for sale?

TX and AZ have pretty good cars in general. Be careful of flood cars from TX their is hundreds of thousands/possibly millions of them for cheap.

Is it okay to even have a pet as you age?

I knew someone that worked with birds at a zoo, they said they had more then a dozen parrots because a parrot will live for 90yrs and old people 5-15 years. The parrots would yell and fight like an old couple and the people that used to own them.

    Let's talk insulation!

Electronic key fobs used to steal vehicles?

I once had an older car and I thought "Nothing to steal in here". One night someone tossed a rock through the window and ripped out the window controller. A used controller was $80. and the window was $200. There is always something to get stolen.

    Linux install

I have installed and played with at least a couple of dozen different Linux distros and flavors over the years. Ubuntu has always installed with the least amount of problems for me. Lots of Linux heads hate Ubuntu but it is the most dependable and easiest to install IMO.

    Compostable waste

Usually animals come dig it up. Which leads to feeding the wild animals and all the problems associated with that.

How do cat (poop) holes work?

99% of "cat holes" I have seen were a failure. A good one will never be seen. A big problem is most cat holes are too shallow, they should be a good at least 14"-16" deep. People are lazy, soil is hard, etc. What happens many times is dogs come along dig them up and have a nasty snack. Seems to...

ISO Cheap Land – No Restrictions - RVs Permitted

Reminds me of someone I knew in the 90s, when cannabis was a “cash crop” and very risky to grow. They bought a bunch of land in the San Louis Valley where the water table was low, made some structures, got a generator and started growing cannabis. They would find hippies who were down on their...

ISO Cheap Land – No Restrictions - RVs Permitted

I have thought about checking out that area, there is a couple of National Forest by there. Tres Piedras is on the South end of the San Louis Valley/Costilla County CO. On the Colorado side winters are brutal and long, summers are hot. Tres Piedras became popular with the “Earth Ship”...

ISO Cheap Land – No Restrictions - RVs Permitted

I have looked at these areas and have heard of people living in RVs there. Seems like NM has a state wide septic system building code, but it also seems like they are not very aggressive about enforcement in many of the counties. I have access to land in CO so the winter time climate doesn't...

ISO Cheap Land – No Restrictions - RVs Permitted

I have been looking at stuff in Texas, Texas is massive.. I have been looking at places in East Texas. I have been interested in land near the Sabine river beds, it seems like the water table is very low, lots of trees generally flat easy access. Some of the land is in designated flood areas so...
