Need portable solar panels for my power station

I have a 2 panel 100 w Dokio Flex. I use it when I don't have time to set up my Renogy's, as a backup when I have a lot to charge, and as an emergency standby. It's done a good job but it's definitely not a regular use piece of equipment. It's covered in fabric and doesn't have enough rigidity...

    Labrador

After the U.S. Revolution, some of my family who had remained Loyalists to the Crown were forced to move to Nova Scotia since things weren't too good for them back in the former colonies. They remained there for quite a while but eventually moved back to the U.S. in the Vermont and Upstate NY...

Need portable solar panels for my power station

I use Renogy folders x 2. I use them to recharge all my power stations and they do a good job. Never had a problem. Just make sure you have the correct connectors to plug into your brand of battery. I'd avoid those which have proprietary connectors only good with one brand of battery. Cheer!

Buying and using land without attracting attention

Ahhh, if you've been where I've been and seen the things I've seen in previously cohesive and functioning societies where the absolute and brutal anarchy that reigned was totally unforeseen and would have been laughed at if one had predicted it even 6 months prior... "Ignorance is bliss" Cheers!

    What's for dinner?

Evening all. I sound like a broken record but it was HOT again today. I still went out and got things done because (Surprise, Surprise Sgt Carter) it's gonna be even HOTTER for the next couple days - Sheesh... Anyway... Tonight I had a lot of rice I needed to use so I fixed up a homestyle batch...

    What's for dinner?

During the ~ 3 weeks of fig season every year, I usually just start breakfast at my tree when I get back from my morning walk. I also have plum, guava, and apple trees and blackberry, blueberry, and raspberry bushes. Nothing like fresh fruit right off the plant. Cheers!

Buying and using land without attracting attention

You always have to consider too, what happens if things really fall apart economically and socially. The most basic, limited, and tenuous service that ARE available in remote areas - especially water, gas, and food, LE and Medical availability - will probably cease to exist and things could get...

    What's for dinner?

Evening all. another scorcher of a day and I spent the morning mowing and whacking trying to get things done before 10 am. We're looking at another bout of high temps this week, back up to 105 F heat indexes and 100% percent humidity. Fun... Got to the point this afternoon that, regardless of...

    What's for dinner?

We've got some giant fig trees here and so many folks planted them in the old days that they're often just in fields or out of the way places where there used to be homes. I hate to see so much food going to waste but the sheer volume of figs they produce is astonishing. At least the birds and...

Preparing for the worst and the best

Welcome! Perhaps you might consider the N Alabama area. Huntsville, Florence, Madison, Muscle Shoals are booming and jobs are everywhere. Not as cheap as it used to be but still cheaper than the Nashville area which is one of the highest housing cost cities in the country. My MiL lives there...

    What's for dinner?

Evening all. Busy day today, Saturdays are my house cleaning and puttering about the yard day. No walks because I need to get started early while it's still cool. Watering is the first order of the day followed by fig picking. My tree has started producing ripe figs in bulk and they don't last...

    Food shortage- solutions !

Once you open the can, it lets in a bunch of "bugs" and such, as well as moisture (which is absent unopened). You want to refrigerate it to control bacteria growth and preserve the quality. Unopened, room temp is fine. You don't want to store them in very high temps though. Between 50 and 70F...

    24/7 Chat About Anything

Reminds me of being in Alaska (Way up in the North at Ft Wainwright) with the USAF. We'd go out onto the training ranges to run practice airstrikes out of the base in Fairbanks. We'd literally go "loaded for (Brown) bear" with Solid Slug and OO Buck loaded 12 gauges during their active season (I...
