Well greg, you got several recommendations for mats, but maybe no one had tried both types. ???
About 1/2 the posts are on lockers. After almost 2 years on this forum, the one thing I know is most threads turn exponentially parabolic after a number of posts...
TA, here is some info on fire codes for yurts. Also mentions a company named California Yurts in Ukiah, just down the road.

I see the weather in Yuma has finally cooled off, and next week's forecast is sunny and mid-70s. Yea. Perfect weather to work on all of your projects, crofter/Sue. November is such a gloomy month in the southwest, lol.
Oh that soup looks good. What I also do is further load the fry pan with combinations of canned corn and carrots, olives and also diced tomatoes where they're amenable to the main course (ie, not so good with white sauce).
When the air is pumping, the gauge on the hose reads 10 PSI or more high, then the reading drops when you turn off the pump. At that point, the reading is fairly close to my other gauge.
My 120 PSI compressor also has a screw on adaptor. The end of that adaptor slides back and forth. What I found is that you can "slide" the screw fitting forward "before" you start screwing it, so by time the valve plunger engages, it doesn't really let any air out of the tire. Likewise, push the...
I did that too a couple of years ago, except I was doing a wide swing into the parking lot of a Dollar Store. 6 ways to get into the parking lot, and I chose that one. Boy, that was embarassing, but luckily I remembered to shift into 3rd gear and just managed to get though the gravel. Imagine...
Woof. Just out doing some work in the van for 3 hours. Over 90F in there, and sweating like a fiend. I guess autumn hasn't quite fallen as yet. So much for living in a place that gets 320 days of sun a year.

+1. That is exactly what I do. On the road, I use precooked rice to save on propane, but here in S&B where propane isn't an issue, I have been using dry rice simmered for long time periods until cooked.
Also, couple of months ago, I discovered the Chunky Steak+Potato soup. The beef is real...
Tried it, wasn't even close to being cooked. Around here, I have to simmer brown rice for 45-minutes, "after" first boiling for 10-minutes or so. YMMV.
Greg, here is a trick you can try. My Savana van automatic has 6 speeds, and a manual select position. I got stuck in deep sand once, and managed to rock it out. First gear has too much torque and digs the tires in, but 3rd gear has much less torque and allowed me to drive back out over the area...
Another perfect autumn day in the high desert. 40F at night and 75F daytimes. Sunny and not a cloud in the sky. Smoke from summer wildfires is gone. Humidity at 30%, and 50 mile views. Voila. Scrambled eggs, bacon, and coffee for breakfast. Yumm.
I realize this is an off the wall idea, but I wonder if someone could build something akin to a crop irrigation system that would run water down the roof and walls in case of a fire. Rain water could be collected over time and stored in a big tank. Naw, it'd never work.
